@mcarthurtf I checked the database and looks CA did the worst solution for it possible and just duplicated every single hef trait to now also have a version without cost.
This will be a huge mess to fix up, so not sure what aproach I'l ltake but sadly either way it means it will take longer to include hef traits in a update.

They appear to be regular traits as they same trait works fine if not on one of these special lords but who knows what CA might have done to create this effect. Cheers

If you know, are those traits brand new ones for patch or just copies of the old traits?
I've yet had time to go trough High Elf since patch, but they are next to work on now.

Hi thanks for all your work.
Noiticed the mod does not seem to work with some high elf lords. With the new update each high elf legendary lord can recruit 1 lord with tier 2 traits for 0 points and the 3rd tier for 30 points there is no 1st tier: for Tyrion it is Princes, Teclis Heaven Archmages, Alarielle Life Archmage, Alith Anar Princess, Eitharion Princes, Imrik Fire Archmage and Aislinn Sea Helms.

These lords, based upon my testing, do not get your improved traits(not sure 100% on Sea Helms). Thanks

@Bombur there is sadly no such simple table, traits are all assigned on an individual basis via the character_item_set_table which would need to be crossreferenced with both the char_skill_effect_table as well as the char_skill_node_table, and it has no overall distinction between hero or lord so its not a thing easily adjusted.

@HotPizza87 those traits already have had battle effects added to them in this mod for a very long time, for example the Tzeentch trait has a Barrier hit points bonus.

I suggest one area to look at is the Warriors of Chaos traits which give reduction in souls cost for devotion and corruption. These traits on their own are quite weak because they don't do anything on the battlefield.

@Hoo the fool it is a placeholder until 6.3 goes live and I can alter traits effects without worrying about compatibility, the trait is supposed to not have Melee Defence displayed and this will be fixed in future update.
But thanks for pointing out anything that looks wrong since with bigger mods it is easy to miss things, I appreciate it!

@HotPizza87 there is still a lot of tweaks and rebalance to be made with the latest changes, but CA is going in the right direction now so I'm happy whenever I can remove entries that used to need big changes in the past.

Thanks for developing this great mod! By the way, I found a buggy thing; Cunning general trait seems increasing +0 Melee defense, which is wrong.

The Herald of Nurgle Cunning Trait isn't working. It's working with the Cultist of Nurgle though. If I remember correctly, there's something bugged with hero traits and CA never fixed it. Something to do that it has to say "Lords Army" for it to actually work? I remember Legend of Total War talking about it on one of his streams.

@HotPizza87 its a bit tricky since dividing up the trait between hero and lords would be something that could cause both compatability issues as well as prevent the mod from being turn off mid campaign.
I'd love to fix it up and hoping that CA gets around to fixing it like they did some other traits so its easier to work with.
Meanwhile this mod gives it other benefits that works regardless if its on a lord or hero.

The issue with vanilla Strategist is that it doesn't work on improving the movement of an army when the trait is held by a hero. So that trait specifically needs dividing into two traits. One that lords can get, and the other that only heroes can get where it has a scope like own army when embedded

There have even been people who have said the movement range on Strategist doesn't even work on lords. Something should be done about that.

@thegreywaren make sure it is updated to latest version, Steam can be bad with auto update sometimes so can try unsub then resub to force a update download.
Otherwise I don't know what the cause for your crash could be, but the latest version of this mod is fully functioning for patch 5.1.

Causes a crash for me when AIs engage in battle with each other at the end of a turn. Disabling the mod fixes the problem.
The last lines in the log:

Does this "fix" the Nurgle traits that spawn on heroes? I wanted to cut down on any extra mods I don't need.

@Rockstar sadly I forgot to save a backup file before the update, sorry.

But as a small comfort, at least the mod should be safe to remove during ongoing campaign if it is causing issues for older version saves.

Skaven trait called Sneaky gives +25 ambush chance and +8 anti-infantry bonus which should apply only to lord, but it apply to entire army instead.

@Zinglemeister 9000 don't think this mod would be cause, I ran a MP campaign just now and all was fine, make sure all players force subscribe to mods to ensure steam updates them(steam auot update is real bad and can take days to update stuff on its own).

@Dairak Logrus should work fine with any tech tree mods since they operate on different db tables then traits do.
