Reloading after firing first 24 rounds is broken, you need to delete the block above the lower ammo feeder so that linear track base will not be stuck and also increase the height of belt connector by one on lower moving part and lower the belt connector by one block that one with all the ammo storage idk how to explain

im not sure if im dumb but i empty 20 rounds and it doesn't load anymore the turret just locks in the default position

I think an update broke this one, the microcontroller doesn't seem to be able to move the track anymore.

Can you make a version of this where the ammo storage is super compact like this? https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/359327570740772874/899039124529500200/unknown.png everytime i shorten the ammo myself it wont auto reload and its to big to fit my ship.

Alternatively just shortening the front to just 1 set of drums would still work. the front is where i'm having the most issue.

@boli I'm planning on making a package with different variants of the turret. Adding a version with radar will probably take 1-3 days, as I also want it to hit on further distances and therefore I have to take the bullet drop into the calculation. But thank you for your suggestion with the radar tracker.

this turret is by far my favorite! are you planning on adding a radar tracker? it would make it litterally perfect. thx for the creation

@Talia Kuznetsova (Snugglisan~) I solved the round startup issue on a different way. I just placed a 2 sec. timer with starts a short loading process while spawning the gun.

@Talia Kuznetsova (Snugglisan~) thank you very much for your ideas. I'm already working on a counter for how many rounds are in the magazine left. I will check out your idea to solve the round startup issue. If you have further ideas to improve the gun, let me know.

I'd HIGHLY recommend disabling the toggle fire. Also I'd recommend you add a counter for rounds left in the magazine under the gun in the bottom right.

But anyways what i mostly came here is to tell you how to get rid of the guns round startup issue.
Below is my implementation where it loads the gun on ship spawn and then after each reload it loads the gun as well.

You have to wire up the Threshold 20 to the gun's drum ammo count and then you also need to wire up a gun ready input on the controller but luckily you already have the spot for that.

This originally worked flawlessly but upon further testing i had to make and edit and repost. The first two reloads need this but any further ones do not. Why? I have no idea but it just does.

This is probally a bad implementation but it works.

@Люблю евреев Have you started a new game with the weapon DLC enabled? If you use weapon DLC parts on old save games they won't work as the DLC is not activated for them. Otherwise it takes 1-2 seconds until it starts firing as the feeder moves the ammo from the magazine to the gun. I will work something out to reduce the reaction time.

For some reason it doesn't work. Doesn't fire. Just an incomprehensible sound at startup ... What should I do?
