does this work with simple sidearms? i prefer simple sidearms over pocket sand because pocket sand is manual but i might switch if this is more efficient

Would it be possible to have a toggle for the hunting weapon pickup behaviour? Although, it was quit amusing to see my guy hunt with a triple rocket launcher or the DMS mech guns

How do you set default combat style? Everytime my pawn switches to melee, he keeps melee untill I manually equip ranged weapon back.

Having the same issue. It causes my pawn to not do any jobs unless they're on priority 2 or higher.

Is there a way to set the sowing job to look at PlantWorkSpeed instead of PlantWorkHarvestYield? As of now, a pawn will equip a tool with harvest yield instead of work speed even though there's no benefit of harvest for the sowing task.

In addition, is there anyway to set secondary stats to focus on? At the moment, with the tree cutting stat that you added support for, pawns only prioritize harvest yield with no preference for secondary characteristics - meaning you have two tools, one with plant work speed and one with tree cutting that both share the same level of harvest yield, your pawns will not swap between them because they only care about the main stat.

Update:
-Weapon override Gizmo
-Tool Policies changed to only display tools ( improves policy loading times where before it would load all weapons your game had)
-Three chopping stat support
-Cleaning Speed support
-Auto Melee improved Now Requires Pickup and Haul to Function
-Hunting job now prioritizes long range weapons (if pawn doesn't have a long range will look in storage before going to hunt)
-Policies changed to only display tools
-Ditched primary and secondary toggles
-Better de-generalise work support

Looking below, it seems lots of people are using this with Simple Sidearms and experiencing issues. I am using it with Pocket Sand (and PUAH) and experiencing no issues.

This currently seems to have issues with other mods like puah or simple sidearms, my pawns were only taking singular items (1 wood) to autobuild buildings, removing this mod fixed it. I'm not blaming anyone, just throwing out the info. o/

The primary/secondary equip desires cause a lot of issues with pawns forcing themselves to equip their primary weapon. This also has issues with some loadout mods (Awesome Inventory) that restrict equipping anything not in a loadout.

So I have a problem with this mod where every time my pawns cut a tree or sow a plant, they swap off their weapon and swap back to it immediately, every single plant. Instead of when they are completely finished planting or cutting. Because I have many pawns planting I hear the equip sound nearly constantly and it becomes grating (Disabling the sound in options does not mute the sound). It's also slowing down my pawns over time because they pause to do this.

Is this compatible with Simple Sidearms? I've been getting a crash trying to use this alongside SS when a pawn has more than one useable rifle in their inventory and are drafted ordered to shoot something.

Unfortunately this mod is conflicting hard with Simple Sidearms, Pocket Sand and LTS Ammo and somehow it seems to affect the Hauling job too.

SS and PS rules are not respected, 'cause the Pawns will keep equipping whatever weapon they find on the ground and using it as their primary, no matter what, what also causes the "auto-equip loop" with SS and only the primary range weapon being available to use with PS. Pawns will also not be able to fill LTSA Kits with a secondary ammo type that's available on the stockpiles, and it's usually the ammo used by the secondary range weapon they may have on their inventory.

-Fixed Force Refresh not working
-Fixed Auto Melee broken on new tool policies
-Fixed Equip sound toggle not working on new tool policies
-Fixed Survival tools not showing when used
-Fixed issue if toolmetrics redux was added mid save it would not work ( you still need to make a new policy to toggle it on )

Is there a way to stop pawns from using tools as melee weapons? If they have one in their inventory, they'll switch to it instead of using the melee weapons they are holding. And if they don't have a tool equipped, they can go across the map to pick up some random tool to melee attack instead of using their monosword. Also, even when drafted, switching to the melee weapon (using Pocket Sand) simply has them switching back to the tool the second they start melee attacking.

If I use a combat stance, melee or ranged, when colonists are doing jobs that require tools, they don't switch. Am I setting the policies wrong somehow?

with Combat Extended, it switches stuff which it shouldn't switch. For example, it switches an equipped grenade to an equipped gun, which happens prior to grenade throw and defeats the point of having grenades.

I had to uninstall CE because I needed RimThreaded (goodbye Windows Mod as well, you will be missed). Put this one on with Yayo's Combat 3, and the issue with the CONSTANT fucking swapping or even the bowstring sound issue is back again in full force. Huge bug, don't know why this happens.

I have the same issues as kongkim. My pawns collect every weapon even when they have a better one. And for instance at field labour the swaping sound is constant.

"Pawns Use fire extinguisher to put out fires" does not work with Firefoam Things but Pawns Use Fire Extinguishers works with Firefoam Things

There is UI issue with CE. When both ATS and CE is enabled, there is no Tools option in assign, as it have no room to be visible.
