As long as you don't have a custom copy of the planet that changes the spawn profiles, this patch works. I've tested in this with multiple other mods. There is quite the decrease from 35 to 10 monsters per planet, but I can see how 10 is still "a lot". I can't replicate your issue, but I know for a fact that this patch has worked for me and others.

Even went to 3 different planets. Nothing changed. Wanted to see what the merchants had for sale. But with so many monsters they were all instantly killed.

Started a new game, went to a new planet, was still overrun by monsters. Tested it in admin mode. This "patch" changes nothing.

Did you travel to a NEW money planet...? Planets cannot be changed when they're ALREADY generated.
Try /warprandom om_moneyplanet to visit a new money planet faster.

I ended up using admin mode to see if this "patch" did anything, it does not change the spawn rate at all. You are constantly overrun by monsters.

Unfortunately, I don't think so, since the patch was forced to redo the spawn rates of certain monsters because of incompatibility with FU.

Will this patch work with the FU Money Planet Patch? I am using the FU server pack, for single player, and it adds a lot of mobs, so figure might need to tone down the mobs a bit.

Of course it doesn't get rid of them - it's just supposed to decrease the amount of monsters that can spawn on the planet.

Yikes! That hasn't happened to me before, but I'll definitely consider dropping it from the spawn pool then.

well, i have 760 but i tried removing all of them and launching the game with 0 mods, them i spawned that thing and killed it and it still crashed with the same error so its just starbound being starbound

Again, that sounds like a mod incorrectly, or badly patched the lootpool for that monster. I don't think that lootpool is a vanilla bug. Do you play with a lot of mods?

also i remember that the name of the lootpool on the log was identical to the one on the game files and for some reason starbound refused to find that lootpool until i replaced the contents with money

just feel like i should mention

im almost certain that is a starbound problem not your mod since all i had to do was replace the loot with money and it was only that specific enemy

Again, the Money Planet does not edit the loot pool at all, so there's an outside mod at play. Sorry!

this was so long ago that i completely forgot about it

i had to make a patch to change the lootpool to money only

oh yeah, the cosmic intruder that spawns on the money planet crashes the game when it dies, something about not finding the lootpool
