I don't have the coordinate of the target, only the angle relative to the radar. Using some math you should be able to calculate the coordinate using a gps sensor and the radars

Hey this is great. I was wondering if it would also output the x and y pos of the target you are tracking so that I could feed it into an auto pilot and then continuously update it to have my creation fallow the tracked object.

Yep I just updated the MC to have more option. I remove the key from the system to free dashboard space and now all controls are on the small display (Who now need to be turned on)

It will not work. Imagine that you are not moving and the target makes circle around you, your speed will be 0 and the approach speed will also be 0 as the distance does not change. So the calculated speed will be 0 which is incorrect as the target is moving

what about using a speed sensor and minusing your own speed off the approach speed?

I can't really know the exact speed of the target as all data are relative to the radar position and speed. The only speed that I can calculate is when the target is going away or toward you. (Your speed + approach speed)

You can try to use the radar elevation output or channel 7 and 8 of the composite output to get the angle.

Stormworks's radars pick up the closest object so yes it's normal

Is it possible to edit the radar FOV on the fly?
I find it when i zoom the camera the tracking rectangle messes up

I had noticed the crate thing, yes. lol I was trying to rescue some poor NPC SODs, and I was trying to use this with another radar system and beacon location systems to try to actually find the boat, and I kept picking up small hits that rapidly vanished. So many crates.

The radar can detect sharks, crates, tools so that why things shows up and disapear. You can use "Ignore ... " to ignore some of them (You might miss some real vehicle doing so)

I am noticing some objects will pop up on the display, and then vanish. Is there a setting I have missing that is preventing target lock? My prototype vessel tops at about 40 knots, full speed is about 30ish knots sustained, and about 20 knots service speed. In a nut shell, object shows up, range at 5km and targeting mode active. Not sure if this a common problem. I would also like to showcase this in my future videos once I fully understand the setup, and functions enough to properly explain it. Thanks in advance for the help!

@Acey No, this is not a real radar that can guide missile (It's way more complicated)
@emergingsea Debug is a developpement tool, don't use it unless the MC crash itself.

@Vonel You can, I made this to be used by others ;-)
It's difficult to tell values for any display, even the 3x3 hud. All depend on the distance between the radar and the hud, the fov of a camera if you use it etc... The best is to try different value.

The 360 view doesn't folow any target, it just scan everything and display up to 5 echo.

there is a problem with the first mode it chanhes the faching jaw and pich if the radar so the radar starts turning the oposite side of were the trget is with the second mode there is no problem there is fixed teh Fov problem liek teh 360 radar view were it chenges facing pitch and facing jaw is were the problem if you cna and would do it could you pls look in to this thx

This is pretty neat. Would be great for a gun hud. Mind if I add this to a creation? (Will be uploaded and i get on average 1.5k subscriptions). Also do you know any values to set for this to work with a 5x3 monitor?
