changing the planet type does not get rid of the ocean layer. to do that you need to place some kind of invisible block across the background of the entire ocean and drain it manually

Let me pick your brain, since you seem to have tried to do something like this before but failed. What I want to do is put something like a pine forest parallax on an ocean planet, and not the other way around, and preferably desalinate the water. Is that what you were trying to do before you screwed it up? Will a regular terraformer do that for me?

could it be possible to make it so planet that recieve the ocean biome produce infinite water like ocean planed does? (plz it's been 3 day i am searching a home star who just have baren/moon and a ocean pretty close together the only thing i found is baren and ice...... if you have a "mental sanity" terraformer i could really use it)

Really it'll be fine, just the background will have an underwater layer that looks strange.

What if I use this on a palnet I don't like? Will it break my game or just ruin the planet?

As far as I know ocean only generates when you land on a planet with special parameter. Terraformers doesn't change this parameter.

As it is a utility item at the moment, no. If I ever find a way to make a ocean terraformer that actually adds/removes an ocean when used, I'll be sure it give it a recipe.

Yep. It spawns that background element, but since the actual ocean is tied to the planet generation, not the biome, there is no actual water that spawns. Currently, I'm too inexperienced to circumvent this, so that's why I've marked it as a utility item.
