Huh, I didn't know about the roaming squads thing. I need to go back and release an updated version of this. Unfortunately story mods also lack new content, so playing this is pretty much playing an older version of the game. I don't know if it's possible to edit vanilla content without doing it this way. I might try making a version that is just the new content so it is more adaptable to updates.

so far only thing I haven't liked is that "ANY STORY MOD" breaks roaming squads :( but the mod is great enjoyed the changes! :) wish I could add it without having to use it as a story to fix that issue with the spawns

FYI, I don't plan to change this at all, and will probably just rebuild it at a later date. If anyone wants to use any of the changes I made in their own mod, feel free (including the new images).

I'll take a look at pumpkins and fix that. I noticed I wasn't getting a high yield of seeds either. I'll have to figure out a solution to hemp. Maybe not have it as a settlement loot option so NPCs don't farm it instead of food. Thanks for the feedback.

Npcs appear to be seriously overproducing hemp. I bought literally a thousand hemp and could have bought hundreds of seed in my go-to trade town, in one visit. Good for turning into string and selling back to them, but they seem to have no idea what to do with the stuff. Five farmers had around 150-250 each every time I visited, until I bought the stuff. Now watching to see how long until they get clogged up again. It took a season the first time.

Couldn't get a pumpkin seed until farming skill five, then one seed per plot so far. Seems a bit harsh. If hemp were that harsh, it might stop town farmers from going nuts with it though. Hemp is currently the easiest seed to acquire, corn now the hardest, but in year two I expect that to be pumpkin.

Love the idea, but currently not digging the zero chance of seeds on pumpkins and likely other crops at farming skill two. Perhaps more seeds less useable crops at low skill?

I decided to make seeds for all crops as it really helps reduce micromanaging farming and cooking. You might need to spawn in some seeds if you are updating during an existing playthrough but otherwise should be solid. I don't have anything else to add so future updates will likely just be for fixes and keeping things working as the game develops.

Ok, attempted a full process test. I was able to place the Barn blueprint, but when attempting to add lumber, it says "we are out of that resource", in spite of a bag full of lumber. All other structures I've attempted to build so far have had no similar problem, so it's probably not the modified lumber.

Np, I actually just got it myself I think (I got a white box instead of an image of the barn in the build list). Looking into it now.

Restarting appears to have resolved the barn.
I've had a few janky disappearing bugs since moving to test. I was attempting to use it interchangably with cabin for terrain leveling/paving and noted the issue no less than fifty times. In any event, it's gone. Sorry about the confusion.

So the cigarette is a 'book' for folks without a book preference? I suppose ingame those would definitely qualify as "social misfits" heh.

Yeah, I'm not a gun person so I don't know specifics. I was thinking generic 9mm. Also I wanted the pistol to be a little more competitive in the game. I generally push for game balance over real world logic when making overhauls.
Is the Barn model different from the Large Cabin? I haven't had this problem. I didn't change the prop file name, so it might look different depending on where you are looking?
Smokes are a book clone, so NPCs will eventually "read" them and they will get consumed. I thought about making it a food with negative nutrition (increase hunger, hehe) but figured people would just eat them rapidly. Wine is a liquid, so I'm not sure how I'd get the properties right there. I'll take a look though.

Other than that quirk, I'm loving this mod thoroughly. Maybe a Browning Hi-power or something as a high capacity alternative, It looks pretty similar to the 1911 art at a glance.
Pemmican is perfect. The maths are sound. Missing my tacos from Tacomod, but I may just live. Maybe.
The Barn structure still exists ingame, but is somehow unbuildable. I thought it might require a different resource, but it says wood.
Played a little with the 'ahem' cigarette. Not useable by player, I thought it would be similar to alcohol? Not sure who to give the thing to... Great stuff so far. Thanks.

Hemp is now a little more interesting in that it is very rare (might not find it in every play through). Also it allows you to craft a gift item, which is kind of cheaty, but also liked by less desireable survivors. It should open up options for interesting role play though.

Please let me know what you think of the changes. I will update this to improve balance as needed. I may also split this up into smaller mods in the future, now that 109 lets us make stackable mods.
