If you want the catpeople to stop eating corpses, you can mess with the mod in the FCS to remove that under "races". Plus the genesis dependency (I think?) is just the "OMO's Armour for the world" mod, you can remove the gear dependency on the NPCS or install that mod. I think this mod is pretty good overall yet still needs some cleanup since it was saved with genesis data mixed in.

The specific problem is the Genesis patch got merged into the main mod.
At a guess you'd probably have to roll back to a previous version (if you stored a previous file with the later tweaks and no Genesis changes then great!)
Or if you're only running on a single rolling file you probably need to manually remove every change made for Genesis.

I know enough to have made my own fix patch for Mongrel but had no idea that certain other squads going cats-only was due to missing Genesis data.

@Abela The idea was no, and that's still largely the case. However my last update messed something up without it causing some squads (ones changed by Genesis) to be wiped and only spawn cats and the Mongrel recruit issues without Genesis.

@CaptianBragd Yes it is mostly intended behavior although I may remove it in the update, I don't love how its implemented. If I can figure out how to keep not starving NPC's from eating corpses i will do that instead.

@cwhitney I'm almost 100% sure the same issue is causing them to so over-represented, my problem is probably I always play with Genesis and I missed it when I tested my last bug fix.

@Paper Red Yeah i know I would love to have the tails too, the problem is I wanted my cats to be able to use all of the animation mods out there so they use the default human skeleton. I'm not saying it's impossible but chances are slim I'll be able to add tail animations to all of the vanilla animations and I really REALLY hated the static or the "just hang there" tails.

Hey everyone! Happy holidays, and Happy New Year! Thanks for the bug reports and the comments <3

I had no idea about the Mongrel problems, I must have mussed something up with the Gen patch/dialog clean-up. Thanks for bringing it to my attention! The FCS gives me such a headache =) I will probably end up making a clean up-load which may take just a little time. Most of my problems have come from skimming on learning FCS and/or just use what was there from the original mod, sorry I didn't check in on this thread earlier.

Any way I could edit this so that the cat people don't completely replace the rosters of bandit groups? All the starving bandits and dust bandits, not to mention most of the holy nation outlaws are cat people, and I'd really prefer that they not be that plentiful. I'd prefer that they simply be city residents, but while I find them a bit overrepresented in ninja squads, I can live with that.

hey so, are the cat people suposed to be cannibals? cus they keep running up and devouring anything dead. I was hanging out at the fishing village near deadfinger, and some of the cat people guards kept eating the dead cannibals whenever town got attacked. Is this intended behaviour?

No, though without a patch you will be missing all the Mongrel Bar Squads. (i.e. all the unique recruits there)

I had a backup of Zanverothh's CatFolks mod which I'm still using in my game (backed up all my mods after a couple useful ones vanished from the workshop). Will this overwrite them, glitch my game or otherwise simply coexist without any issues?

Hey, did you remove all the Mongrel unique recruits or is that on something in Genesis?
I'm also not sure if you've intended it but you implemented the Genesis patch into the main mod. (Even if you download this mod from Nexus without the Genesis patch, it'll give you the warnings that Genesis is required when you have the mod enabled.)

Yeah, I duplicated the skeleton but changed my mind and decided to make them like hivers in HN eyes. I just forgot to delete it. Looks to be solved for my game, I'll keep an eye on the comments JIC

If I recall correctly the specific problem is there aren't any races assigned to the new triggers you added, and therefore it applies to everyone.

In the previous version I brought up a problem where cats were spawning in Thieves Guild bar squads and getting them cleaned out by the guards the moment you first load them, and I think this was a result of attempting to fix that.

Was able to fix the issue with the modding tool editor. Your added "cat race" specific dialogue to the holy nation guard dialogue list dorked up something. The added dialogue apparently flagged all races in a player squad for the dialogue response. Which is why approaching a holy nation guard regardless of race would result in hostilities. Deleting the added dialogue strings added for gate guard Beast spotted and Skeleton spotted seems to have fixed it. Tested on a new game, no issues. Need to test on an ongoing save/import .

Same issue as the post below, can confirm Holy Nation attacks everyone and anyone.Hostilities disappear when disabling the mod.

I love this mod and it is one of my favorites, however, I have found that when installed and active, it makes the Holy Nation (their troops, anyone) indiscriminately attack any character of any race, including their own citizens. Please fix this bug!

I hope someone will make a patch for genesis to include cat people. Seems modified factions like Vagrants were modified not to spawn these races even though the vanilla had them spawning.

UC remains widely unaffected for vanilla samurais in Genesis though.

@FirePura haha its on the list, i tried to do a static one and i hated it. So we all have to wait until i figure out how to do it with animations.
@AncientMadness curious ill have to look into it, will you message me what version of which mods you have enabled when this happens?also the file ...\kenshi\data\mods.cfg
@thecrazy13 if you want to disable that you can just replace the body normal png's (bot the skinny and musc ones) with the main one. Copy paste and rename :steamthumbsup:
