Very cool mod! I love the sound of a CAT. It's a shame that they haven't produced a truck engine since about the same time that the game was released. Check the truck websites - there's no CAT's available on ANY brand of truck...they now only provide engines for the heavy-duty construction, road construction & maintenance...and the military. It's so OLD news that CAT's website no longer even mentions their ceasing to manufacture them...it just lists the engines for those specific applications. CAT's were cool - they were always the most expensive engines. but they were often chosen by the trucker's that had used them in the past. Damn fine engine, when they were still made.

As I'v said before, this mod is most likely dead. if you want any zee's engine mods, go to his web page. Google "Zee's mod" and you'll find it.
I am using both his C16 and Cummin N14 plus and both are favourite engine mods.

if you Sub to this mod, only this mod (3406E) has mod sound for it, does not effect any other engines or sound your using. If your using a SCS truck, Go workshop and pick the Cat 3406E for engine for your truck then you'll here cat engine sound.
(If this mod is still working v1.45+, Not sure if it is)

I am using Zee's Paid mods for all my trucks now, Like his C16, its the best imo and worth
the few $$$, simple because he records his engine sounds from REAL trucks.

@King Eutsey. I doubt this mod will ever get updated, If you want one that sounds good (and he updates them) and has 800 hp and 1000 hp one. Go to Zee's website and buy the C16 one. It worth its Price imo. It's the best imo at least for cat mod. I use C16 for both my W900 and 389 with 18 speed Eaton fuller Mod here. and yes its Co-op compatible, as long your friend also buy the C16 mods :)

Maybe you can or you have to buy this motor mod from Zeemods (Sellfy), if that engine mod will not be updated for each new versions.

That really happens to me too, with my G920 the pedals will sometimes act up...
mostly for the clutch pedal and the throttle pedal...

hi @Talon Stormwalker. I am very happy with my Logitech G29, and pedals. (Did not come with shifter) it has a lot buttons (Ps4 theme) which is helpful in ATS. Also I got Th8a Gear shift and add on Gear shift. (SKRS) but the switch or springs on it are kind weak, I wouldn't recommend it. I just bought ps5 and Nvme SSD for it, So I'm kinda broke atm. $800+ ps5 (Canadian)

normally for me I have the "Jake Brake" button keybinded to my "letter B" button on the Logitech G920 steering wheel...

My jake Brake works. Try checking to make sure its assigned to a key on your keyboard or whatever you use for truckin

Yea I love Zee's paid mods. You should try zee's "Cat C16" paid one.. It my fav.
Q: Does your jake brake/Engine brake still work? Mine isn't working on ALL trucks for some reason now. Even if remove most mods/ switch default truck/engine. Engine brake won't engage or work.. I don't know ifs mods or SCS has broke something with 1.44

Interesting thing. I just bought the cat 3406E engine pack from zeemods and let me tell you it sounds way way way better then the free steam version here and for $5 for the sound pack it was well worth it.

Zee's C16 is the best imo. I tried his C15 but found engine not bad sound, but Jake brake and turbo sound really muffled imo, not sure why.
I liked the C16 cus sounds deep, loud and throaty? lol The Turbo is loud and sounds good and Jake brake is good.. <3 the c16 cus there 800hp and 1000 hp options for heavy hauls :)

I kinda a cat fan. I do have the N14 and it sounds good accelerating, but i can't stand that darn turbo intake air drop off sound everytime you let off the accelerator, and by everytime i mean everytime you let off the accelerator. Just gets on my nerves some times still a good engine.

Mostly his N14 is the best I've ever heard, his 3406 comes in second of best

ok, Zee's older engines still work in the current version of ATS but they'll only work in single player that I am aware of...

in that case i think i'ma gonna buy one of his engine packs... or probably all the cat engines bundle

Zee hasn't really touched any of his steam workshop engine mods in a while.

So i know i know the answer to this, but is it worth it to buy zees engines from his website? I noticed this engine pack is causing my cab sound to sound like i'm going through a tunnel. It used to work fine until the updates to the game. If i were to buy a sound pack from zees website does it come with more benefits then using his steam versions?

Zee probably already made one, but usually most of his engines are payware engines and can only be found on his website.

Don't think Zee will add it to that truck, haven't seen Zee touch this mod in a while... If you want I can add it... I've been working on a mod of mine located through google drive and scs forums... I already have the International 9900i 4 transmission options (diff radios only)

If this is the same one I paid for a year back it sounds best with exhaust and turbo muted. The engine is pristine.

I personally only use Zee's 3406e on the Freightliner FLC by XBS but I have a version where I edited it myself and brought it back to work for 1.40-1.43 as long as game updates don't break the truck tho... Anyways I personally use this on the Freightliner FLC due to the classic sounds that this 3406e engine mod has to offer!

This CAT 3406E still works fine for me on V1.43, Even though he says its only for 1.39. I also have his C15-6nz and C16 one.. Imo C16 sounds the best. not sure why.

but yeah this mod still is best for free one ;)

The only best engine I've seen by Zee is his N14 from which is free and available on the workshop :)

well whatever I don't drive volvos anyways... I just thought they wouldn't come with it by default... If they did it would of been custom fitted...
Anyways not here to argue more and i'll just straight up ignore you if you come back with something that has to do with arguing... Just keep that in mind...
