Perhaps that is your current issue.
It's possible it somehow got corrupted steam side? If you can give me the specific filename of the one you're having issues with (if you can find it!) then I should be able to check and see what the issue is. I can't seem to reproduce it, but I wonder if that's because I have all of the files locally, rather than via steam.
Thanks for reporting!
Even with your mod installed, the game is fine. If you create a character using a vanilla portrait, there's no problem at all.
But once you make one using that specific portrait, you can no longer access the load screen.

I still haven't had a chance to try out the other portraits in your female pack to see if others cause this problem, but the Asian one near the bottom definitely does. (Shame too, because it's absolutely perfect for a character of mine. I love both your packs overall.)
I've tested, double-tested, and triple tested this, under all sorts of conditions - with mods and without. I don't know what new "thing" has occurred to cause this to happen, but if a player makes a character using one your portraits, then they save the game, the game will immediately crash if they try to load it.
What's happening is, the load preview is trying to display the character portrait, and there's just something about it in the preview that it doesn't like. I don't know if this occurs with all portraits, or just some. Specifically, it's happening with the Asian female portrait, towards the bottom of the list. I haven't tried the other females yet, and I haven't encountered this problem at all with the male portraits so far.
Guess it won't work for me then.
I've also started naming them differently, so hopefully it should be organised by race, now. I've left previous legacy portraits unchanged however to preserve the people who already use a portrait in game. Let me know if you'd prefer they were changed, and I'll update and add a list of old > new names.

The game will use the Steam\steamapps\workshop\content folder by default unless you were to manually move them
Steam\steamapps\workshop\content
There are folders in there that a numbered related to game ID #s, you will have to look through them to find it, or if you know your NWN:EE game ID # then it may be quicker.
I have found that if I am in offline mode, NWN content does not show. You can however manually move/install the files from the content folder into the game/user profile directories and that should fix that.
@Emeraq - I've just uploaded both packs to the vault for you. You can find them here: https://neverwintervault.org/project/nwn1/images/portrait/adreannadreas-portrait-collections
Hopefully this helps!
Of course there are still plenty more thematically chosen in there too, but I try to focus most of my efforts on choosing those that are, above all, interesting.
For now, if it bothers you, the best thing to do is to unsubscribe to whichever gender you don't intend to make as a character briefly, make your character, then resubscribe to the pack in order to see the portraits in game.
Currently only 77 portraits, but will update periodically.
First, unsubscribe then re-subscribe to the portrait collection - I'm not sure if this step is 100% necessary, but it can't hurt to try. Next, head to wherever your save file for NWN EE is - mine for example is located here:
C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Neverwinter Nights\saves
Delete any save files in there, this will be what crashes your game when you try to open up your saved file.
Next, attempt to create a new game and use a custom portrait - save, exit, re-load and try to boot the save game. In my own tests everything seemed to work fine after I did all this.
Hopefully, that should work, and you should be able to use my custom portraits again for offline games.
Pro: The portaits are really nice work!
Would love to know when this has been fixed!
