Just got it on steam sale. Never played it before. Looks rather interesting. How should I go about it?

So I have the old Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition game bought a long long time ago. Recently started playing again, and completed Undrentide with Dorna. I started the next module, Hordes of the Underdark, but I can't find her. I asked AI/Google and it said she's available to be a follower again. Is she only in the enhanced edition? Do I need to go back to just before fighting the medusa lady in Undrentide and save character for export? What do?...

Is there any recourse for me to add NWN to steam via my original CDs?

Mostly enjoying re-visting this classic, and I never actually played the second expansion, so looking forward to that eventually, but for now I'm restarting with the OC and have made it to the Helmite keep, and I'm really struggling with the undead here. Specifically, the shadow fiends and any others that level and/or stat drain you (the curst monks are also a pain, but not as bad), For the most part I've been going the self buff route (mage armor, shield, ghostly visage, and flame blade (it doesn't help...
