Update 11

Production screen got its update tonight
I added in the missing block categories, and made sure everything was in the proper category. Survival kits are sitting under Assemblers at the moment though. They fine there, or do folks want them in their own category?

For algae farms, they have a little progress bar that displays each blocks current algae growing progress

Compact mode for this screen is very cramped. If you are using it, I suggest only displaying 3 items per screen. Everything else will just fall off the bottom

Update 10

Got some real good feedback on the power screen, and this update is all about addressing that.

The power screen now has a bunch of new info in it....



.....but thats not the best for smaller screens, like cockpits. So there is another new option available just for the power screen (at the momemnt)



When SummaryOnly is toggled to true, the power screen will look like it used to before the update....



You will have the option to set the ideal amount of uranium you want in your reactors. You can still toggle on or off a power block group (and the associated summary) AND if you do not have Solar Panels (for example) on your grid, the Solar Panel category will be auto hidden, even if you have the Solar Panel option set to true in your blocks options.

As with all the other updates, you will need to reload the app onto your screen to get the new option - or better yet just grind off the current block and rebuilt it, with fresh apps loaded onto it.

Update 9

Power screen update!

Ok, this screen got a boat load of changes
First up, I have no idea how well or not well this will work with modded blocks. Wind turbines and solar panels should be ok, but anything funky like deuterium and plasma reactors probably wont work too well. That can be fixed in future. Just let me know whats borked

I broke the different power generating blocks out into different categories
Reactors, Wind Turbines, Solar Panels, and Engines
Each category has a couple of bars under its title that give averages for stats of all the blocks within the given category
Each power generating block is listed in its own line as well. Block lines have a status badge (on, off, or broken), the block name, the amount of power being output by the block, and a fill bar. The fill bar means different things for different block categories. For wind turbines, its efficiency. Solar, its exposure. Uranium its the amount of ingots (and you can configure that) and for hydrogen its the amount of fuel in the hydrogen engine itself.

Update 8

Life support screen is done. The spacing for the various badges has been sorted out
There is also now an option to set the minimum amount of ice you want to have on your grid. This option was also added to the gas production screen since ice is a factor there too

For the Ore screen, I just added the option to show or hide scrap.

Update 7

OK, as LucaZanna pointed out, the Life Support screen didnt really display a whole lot.

WELL IT DOES NOW



Air vents now appear here. And you can turn them on and off. You will be able to see their status with the little badge on the right hand side of the screen. The spacing of this is a lill off, ill fix that tomorrow. Ran out of time for tonight. Intake vents have their own show/hide option on the life support screen. And I also added them as an option for the Gas Production screen too, since that kind of made sense to me



And thats it for now. We're getting close to done!

Update 6!

Ok, Grid Info, Ingots, and Items screens this time

Honestly, I did everything I could think of to add value to the Grid Info screen. I want to get things in there like ship stop time, stop distance, lift capacity while in gravity, etc, etc... BUT it turns out you can only do that kind of thing through a programmable block. And I naturally didnt think to look into that until I was hours deep into this rabbit hole. So long story short, no actual changes to the Grid Info screen. Just changes to the amount of sanity I have left

Ingots screen got a simple toggle to turn on or off prototech scrap

The Items screen got a pretty serious overhail. The screen now has options to sort items based on the sortIds I added in a while ago. So if you say, have a storage container that acts like a fridge, you can display just your cooked food on an LCD, and know what you have available for supper. If you have another cargo can dedicated to storing hand weapons, you can rig up an LCD to show pistols, rifles, or launchers, or all of em if you want. Zone chips are technically components for some reason, but the items screen will now display them, instead of the components screen.

And thats it for this update! More coming soon.
As always, you will need to reload your apps on to your LCD screens to get the new options - or even better, just grind off you screens and build new ones for a complete fresh start.
Once we get all the legacy screens updated, ill get the farming one done, and then put my thinking cap on to try and sort out what else we can add to this mod!

Update 5!

Ok, I went back to the Damage Control screen and did some more work there. The Show Structural option wasnt working correctly, and its.... workingish now :D Armour, beam, and other decorative blocks should be appearing when you turn this option on. So you can get a sense for how big of a hole has been blasted into the side of your grid. There is a 200 block hard limit on what the screen will attempt to track and display.... but I might tone that down in future depending how this goes. Let me know what your experiences are!!

I also used the options added to the Damage Control screen to give some control of the Container Summary screen. You can toggle cargo cans or production blocks on and off here

The door monitor got a small update. It now excludes doors with the name Airlock in them - thats what the airlock monitor screen is for. The door monitor screens compact mode also got an overhaul

[Farming screen has been intentionally skipped, im doing it last!]

The Gas production screen also had a small update. The Ice meter will now scan for ice on the entire grid, not just in the H2/O2 generators. This screen will also now ignore irrigation system blocks - so they will no longer appear under Generators

Update 4!

Damage Control screen revisit
I just went ham here, and added a number of block categories. This wasnt me adding in block names, but rather setting up a series of searches that clumps blocks together in groups. That SHOULD mean that this will work with modded blocks as well. And anything that the Damage Control screen does not recognize will get added to the Misc category. I might add a second config file here to allow folks to add their own blocks in the same way that they can add items

Anyways, this was a pretty substantial update
If you see this, im going to be away from my computer for a few days. Please reset your Damage Control screen and tinker with this. Let me know what you think. What works, what does not, etc... any feedback helps!

Update 3!

Ammo screen revisited
- Made sure the mod was properly aware of fireworks ammo
- Added options to toggle on or off Grid ammo and Hand ammo
- As before, you will need to reload the app on your LCD screen to see the new options

Components Screen
- Added options to toggle on or off components and protoComponents
- Protocomponents are all prototech components

Containers screen
- Updated the corner LCD view to just show the number of cargo containers on the grid
- This screen needs a second pass to ensure it is just displaying cargo containers, and not every block on the grid with an inventory. Next patch!

Damage Control screen
- Updated the corner LCD view to give an overall grid health bar instead of attempting to show the same information that the full size lcd screen was showing

Update 2!

Took a look at the Airlock, Ammo, and cargo screens

Airlock screen got no changes
Ammo screen got just a small amount of housekeeping
The cargo screen however, got changed a fair bit

YOU WILL NEED TO RE-LOAD THE CARGO APP ONTO YOUR LCD SCREENS TO SEE THE NEW OPTIONS

Apologies for the inconvenience folks, but IO think you will like the update
Cargo sorting has been made much more granular now. Instead of just Ammo, you now have Hand Weapon or Grid ammo you can toggle on or off. Seeds, Cooked Food, Raw Food, Seeds, Prototech Components and more have been added as potential categories you can see.

.....and after posting this screenshot, I realised I forgot to change the word Total at the top of the cargo screen to Cargo Used for consistency. Ill get that next patch
