THE FINAL LEVEL 9 RUNE UPDATE

This updates fixes a few quirky behaviors, enhances some visuals, redoes some UI interactions, and adds the remaining level 9 runes.

Runesmith runes:
- (Ichelsu): A new level 9 rune that counters invisibility and flanking.
- (Inth-): A new level 9 diacritic* rune that can add persistent fire damage and is extra painful to holy creatures. In a future update, Esvadir's persistent bleed damage will also function as if it were unholy.
- (Trolistri): A new level 9 rune that creates emotional difficult terrain for your enemies and can slow them. Due to technical limitations, the difficult terrain is always on for all enemies regardless of their distance to the bearer, thus the distance has been reduced from 20 feet to 10 feet to balance this buff. The invocation retains its normal range.

* (Experimental) This diacritic uses a creature-clicking UI, instead of a pop-up prompt, for choosing a rune to draw on. This can provide information that differentiates one similar drawn rune from another (such as differences in duration, or which one was etched). Other diacritics will use this UI in a future update. Transpose Etching has always used this underlying functionality, and so has had some tooltip updates as a result of these changes as well.

Visual:
- (Rune effect tooltips): The tooltips for rune creature effect descriptions have been slightly reformatted to present the duration type underneath the header in italics. Etched and tattooed rune descriptions no longer specify the duration (assumed to be permanent, per game standards)
- (Rune action tooltips): Tracing runes as hard actions no longer contains the action's range and flavor text in the tooltip description on the creature button.
- (Etching runes): The action routine to etch runes now modifies your action bar. Since the top bar text is now hidden, a new overhead text which lists the current etching number, as well as blue squares on the bottom of the action bar itself, can be used to see how many etchings are left. Etching runes with this new UI can be ended early with spacebar or the given pass button.
- (Runic repertoire): Runes are now sorted by their level into groups whenever you have the option of adding a rune to your repertoire of more than one category of level, such as at level 9 when you get your first 9th-level (or lower) rune.
- (Runic Crafter): Stat block description is slightly more grammatically consistent thanks to S.ConstructOrList().

Bugfixes:
- (Transpose Etching): When transposing as a free action due to a rune-bearer's death, you can now only transpose runes from that creature instead of any creature.

Mod compatibility:
- (Runic Reprisal): Now uses WhenYouUseShieldBlock API. No longer has different functionality or combat log visuals when More Shields is installed. Runesmith still benefits from certain minor enhancements when More Shields is installed.

Hotfix: Cleaned up the display of several class actions in the players' stat block.

Hotfix: Stopped Runic Crafter from being added twice (resulted in accidentally higher ACs than intended due to untyped bonuses).

更新于:8 月 3 日 上午 12:00

Mod Compatibility:
- (More Shields): Runic Reprisal now triggers off the internal Shield Block reaction cast, if More Shields is installed (a new optional dependency has been added). The Fortifying Knock action now gets added to the submenu of your equipped shield, just like Devoted Guardian, when using More Shields.

Runesmith Archetype:
- (Expand Knowledge): You can now choose 9th-level runes if your runesmith DC is expert.
- (Expert Runic Application): New 12th-level feat. You get expert runesmith DC and learn a 1st- or 9th-level rune.

Visual:
- (Invoke Rune): Invoking a rune now displays the icon and the base-name of the rune as overhead text, instead of the name of the action. You're invoking the rune by speaking its name!
- (Runic Tattoo): Runes that are not in your repertoire are no longer visible from Runic Tattoo's selection options. An error is printed to the combat log if your Runic Tattoo fails to apply when it should have (usually caused by selecting a rune you learned after the encounter's level in Free Encounter Mode).
- (Runic Reprisal): The attacking creature name in the reaction prompt is now blue.
- (Runesmith Class): The description has been updated to use the new WithClassFeatures() functionality. Consequently, the optional dependency on the "Increase level cap to 20" mod has been removed. Otherwise, only minor alterations to the visible text content have been made. General feats are presently not listed in the class features (base game issue, has been reported).
- (Runesmith Multiclass, Expand Knowledge): Flavor text added (it's the level 7 "Expert Runes" feature flavor-text that isn't normally visible in DD).

Bugfixes:
- (Runesmith Dedication): You can now only select 1st-level runes when you initally gain 2 runes from this dedication.
- (Etch Rune): This is now usable on your allies even without line of sight or line of effect. This mostly just affects the S5E3 fight where a Runesmith in the 2nd slot could not see the ally in the 4th slot.

更新于:7 月 7 日 上午 12:58

Visual:
- (Runic Tattoo): Expending the tattoo now reads as "(faded)" instead of "(expended)" on your stat block, to match the requirements of "Words, Fly Free".
- (Transpose Etching): Action is no longer always half-size on the action bar.
- There are now "Draw runes" and "Invoke runes" action groups which some runesmith actions may sometimes consolidate into.

Bug fixes:
- (Artist's Attendance): The action can now be canceled after initiating, and when the 2nd Stride is passed, is converted to a simple Stride just like Sudden Charge.
- (Words, Fly Free): Now works again. Action was broken due to a refactor of the Runic Tattoo implementation in a previous update

The 20th-LEVEL COMPATIBILITY UPDATE 1

This smaller update is focused increasing support for higher-level play. This update does not introduce any new feats or runes.

New Features:
1. (Assured Runic Crafter): A new level 9 feature which allows you to share the benefits of your Runic Crafter feature as a Precombat Preparation.
2. (Greater Runic Optimization): New level 15 feature. The class now fully refers to its level 7 feature as Runic Optimization, but WITH NO MECHANICAL CHANGE. The reason is simple: Greater Opt offers +2 more damage, whereas Greater Spec normally offers 2x damage. The feature names thus should be distinguished. These features don't require striking runes like in tabletop (and never will, due to Runic Crafter's implementation).

Scaling:
1. (Artisan's Hammer): This homebrew class weapon now increases to Master proficiency at level 13 alongside your other attacks.
2. (Level 9 Runes): Certain runes didn't scale correctly ("Math.Min" looks like "Math.Max" if you forget how numbers work), some runes did but had incomplete displays, etc. They are now feature-complete for level 9-20 scaling. They also now include their "Level" text which was omitted on initial release.
3. The Runesmith class description is setup to add more text as the game's level-cap increases -- whether because of installing the "Increase level cap to 20" mod or because of new DLC. Other minor description changes have been made as well.

All other proficiency progressions were already available. I had Read the Bones before I originally made the base class features :)

Misc:
1. The level-up rate in the rune stat blocks (the part that says "Level (+2)") now displays correctly again (was broken by a previous update that altered the internal implementation of runes).
2. (Words, Fly Free): Fixed tooltip typo ("faced" -> "faded").

THE STAT BLOCK UPDATE
(didn't expect DD v3.47 to be out so soon)

This update comes with the following major changes:
1. All runesmith abilities which are strikes with special effects (Engraving Strike, Remote Detonation) have been moved into the OFFENSE section of your stat block.
2. The runic repertoire is now its own section in your stat block, like Spellcasting and Impulses. It's broken down to list what traditions you can apply to your runes, your DC and etch limit, your runic tattoo (and whether it's expended), and the list of runes you know. This change also hides Runic Tattoo from your Abilities section.
3. Invisible Ink has been reworked. It's now a 2-action activity which Traces a Rune and then Hides or Sneaks.

As well as the following minor changes:
1. Engraving Strike now specifies that it works with unarmed strikes, and no longer mentions melee weapons, due to the lack of free-hand weapons in Dawnsbury Days. Functionality is unchanged (this was an unintended change from tabletop which is now intended).
2. The class description has been updated. The runic repertoire feature now explains that your runes can belong to a tradition, including how assigning a tradition works in DD (it's automatic, and isn't just one tradition at a time).
3. Added the Homebrew trait to Read the Bones (it doesn't at-all resemble its source functionality).

Runesmith Runes:
- (Jurroz): Reworked. Can no longer be Traced, only Etched, per the original wording. The vague "Them"s in the feature text have been altered to clearly distinguish the rune-bearer and the attacker. The rune-bearer no longer becomes off-guard to strikers, the one striking the rune-bearer does.

Bug fixes:
- (Jurroz): The free action should be usable in more situations, especially when out of actions at the end of your turn.
- (Trace Rune): The previous changes which reduced UI bloat by disallowing the 2-action Trace Rune options when the 1-action version was available now applies when targeting yourself as well.

更新于:6 月 19 日 上午 4:26

Runesmith feats:
- (Remote Detonation): No longer usable on creatures who don't bear one of your runes. Maybe other improvements, I introduced (and fixed) a lot of bugs while working on it, idk which ones were there before. (Ty for reports, @fosuke)
- (Transpose Etching): Now has fewer UI steps required to move runes.
- (Early Access): Added the Homebrew trait. Added some clarifying text to the description.

Runesmith runes:
- Various runes no longer accidentally add their description to a creature's stat block.
- (Sun-): Can no longer be drawn onto another diacritic rune.

Mod Settings:
- (Less Restrictive Rune Tracing): Mod options for Esvadir and Oljinex now combined into a new option, which now also extends to ally vs enemy targeting with tracing and etching runes. Useful for certain advanced tactics or builds. This change comes alongside some standardization in how usability is tested, resulting in changes to some display text changes (e.g. Holtrik/Oljinex's "doesn't have a shield" -> "no shield equipped").

Visual:
- (Tracing Runes): When using the basic UI to trace a rune via submenus or clicking on a token directly, it now filters out the 2-action version while adjacent to the target. Drawn in Red's version of tracing a rune overwrites any other options on the corresponding target. If Rune-Singer is also active, the name of the action ("Draw & Sing") and the description more clearly displays that both effects apply at once.
- (Drawn In Red): The action option when clicking on tokens directly now includes the action symbol, like the basic usage of Trace Rune did.
- (Rune-Singer): The blue-color range text modification now extends to "Range" in various menus.
- (Kojastri): Removed level-up text. DD's current level cap makes this extraneous text.
- (Pluuna): Penalty effect no longer appears multiple times from multiple runes.

Bug fixes:
- (Runic Tattoo): Tattoo is now once again unavailable for the rest of the day after being invoked. (A bug was introduced by a previous change in a much earlier patch).

更新于:6 月 17 日 上午 4:39

Class feats:
- (Early Access): New level 8 runesmith feat. Grants your choice of a level 9 rune (see below).
- (Transpose Etching): In addition to its usual behavior, you can now also use Transpose Etching as a free action when a rune-bearing creature dies to move one of your runes from that target. This homebrew compensates for the lack of ability to target runes on corpses or dropped items.

Runesmith runes:
- (En-): New level 9 runesmith diacritic rune.
- (Feikris): New level 9 runesmith rune.
- (Jurroz): New level 9 runesmith rune.
- (Kojastri): New level 9 runesmith rune.
- (Zohk): Now records your position at the start of your turn. When you use Zohk's special stride, you need only be closer than when you started your turn, rather than when you began that action.

Visual:
- (Etch Rune): A text-overhead now displays on the runesmith who has begun etching runes, with a combat log entry.
- (Invoke Rune): The basic action in its tooltips and its menu description now features a paragraph break and red-highlight to improve the noticability of the immunity to additional instances of the same invocation with the same action. The text along the top-side of the screen while invoking runes now also warns the user against invoking the same rune on the same creature multiple times.
- (Ur-, Diacritic Rune of Intensity): Usage text now correctly specifies that it's drawn on a rune that deals damage.
- (Terrifying Invocation): Now uses the invoke rune icon, instead of the trace rune icon, in the top-left corner of the screen.

Bug fixes:
- (Sun-): Sun can now be traced back onto a previous rune, if for some reason you trace Sun multiple times in a round.
- (Engraving Strike): You are no longer prompted to trace a rune onto a creature you killed with the attack made as part of Engraving Strike.
