**0.8.0**

Another update, another huge changelog! Also I got a job so expect less updates. If you read these then huge shout out you're honestly probably my biggest fan.

Anyways, this update was honestly my easiest yet. No school, no work, just modding. Accordingly, I was able to expand the scope instead of contracting it!


General:
-added a new state to cover Walvis Bay
-minor VP location changes (within provinces)
-fixed the release option to partition Britain still releasing ireland (and puppeting them), it's now northern ireland
-gave northern ireland a core on, well, northern ireland- so they can actually be released
-fixed a loading screen tip still referencing Hamburg as being the target of German war goals when it is now German at game start
-changed Serbian and Illyrian provinces and states a bit to represent tweaked starting borders
-changed provinces and states throughout Hungary
-revamped populations in Serbia and Illyria (plus Zara) based on actual census results
-revamped populations in Transylvania + Bucovina based on actual census results
-changed provinces and states in Czechoslovakia to bring back the Sudetenland (though based on the USGA proposal not irl map)
-minor tweaks to provinces along to Italian-Austrian border
-French economic collapse should no longer have multiple event chocies in some instances
-added some missing industrial company trait names
-updated and added several resource decisions
-made the yellow in the liberalism ideology icon more vibrant and cleaned up the edges
-touched up the autocrat and liberal-conservative ideology icons
-tweaked some terrain around Brno so the new province borders are clearly visible
-added an option in the Russian annexation event to give it to the South Russian Free Army if they're your puppet

AUS:
-added a new focus which will automatically bypass upon the conclusion of the Prague Conference
-switched up the restoration focus requirements
-revamped the post-restoration administration focuses
-changed the war focuses to better divide realistic invasion goals
-updated a number of focus icons
-expanded their borders into Western Hungary
-gave Slovenia to Illyria based on Trialist plans of IRL
-reduced starting army size
-reduced manpower buffs
-revamped the post-AH formation focuses
-updated some political party names (both pre and post AH formation)
-added a number of new advisors
-updated generals and admirals
-slight adjustment to VP values
-deleted the focus to gain Bohemian generals, the new ones I added should be more than enough and this focus doesn't make sense anymore
-increased the chance for the AI to do focuses that will actually fix their political turmoil

BOT:
-added as a starting nation (British colony)
-added the British flag as they are a British protectorate

BUL:
-fixed focuses relying on EGY for war with OTE to relying on GRE as per modern content
-removed the requirement to own Dobrudja from focuses, which prevented fixing the economy

CZE:
-tweaked their starting national spirits and added some new ones
-expanded their borders into Western Slovakia
-now called Czechoslovakia at start again, since they actually control Slovak land this time
-completely replaced their focus tree
-increased the number of resources in their states but reduced infrastructure
-added a few extra factories
-added a boatload of characters for all ideologies
-redid the political scene to be more realistic

FRA:
-fixed incorrect loc for their rigged elections
-fixed middle eastern investments (from EGY focus) targeting every state, not just Middle Eastern ones
-fixed a doctrine research bonus from 'Motorized Focus' instead of the correct cost reduction
-fixed armor national spirit loc overriding the actual divisional tank names

GRE:
-added a decision to disband the Balkan League and join France if at war with Bulgaria

HUN:
-removed ownership of several border states
-made Slovak and Translyvanian separatism decisions more likely to work (since they own less states)
-modified some national spirits
-added a host of new icons from various patches
-added a number of focuses from updated hungary in base game
-slight modifications to the army paths
-overhauled the industrial tree to be a mix of base game and pre-0.8 hungary
-total replacement of navy and airforce with new base game paths
-added and tweaked companies
-overhauled advisors & generals

ILL:
-gained Slovenia from Austria
-added a national spirit to represent how at game start they are a nominal part of Austria but really more under the French thumb

IND:
-made India no longer able to get wargoals on puppets, preventing the ai from spamming the decision and never having pp

NMB:
-added as a starting nation (German colony)
-added a flag
-removed extra supply hubs from Namibia
-changed a few railway locations

OTE:
-now gets claims on states when releasing Bulgaria, should fix border gore if they beat the Balkan League

PER:
-fixed a couple national spirits not giving infantry defense as intended

RHI:
-increased their political power gain so the ai can actually fix their economy

ROM:
-corrected some focuses to account for the new transylvania setup
-adjusted decisions to account for the new transylvania setup
-major changes to their focus tree
-tweaked their starting political setup
-added several new advisors and modified traits for returning ones
-added several new starting debuffs (should offset their new, larger land area)

SER:
-new lore setup which properly explains why Serbia got shafted in the post-ww1 treaties
-completely reworked the focus tree
-revamped the Serbian general staff, leaders, and advisor pool

SOV:
-added one new general

ZIM:
-made them a British colony at game start

**0.7.4**
General:
-as you may have noticed the mod now has an actual thumbnail picture
-reworked a few states and provinces in and around Pakistan
-very minor state and vp changes in the Levant/Arabia region
-decreased Ha'il, Riyadh, and Gaza's starting infrastructure

EGY:
-fixed the Egyptian bookmark to not use Saudi focuses, which was both confusing and incorrect
-slightly tweaked the reuirements for an Iranian alliance post-Ottoman war to account for new Iranian foci
-fixed their name becoming "Egyptian" instead of "Egypt" when partially democratic
-added extra pp to some focuses to help fill out the cabinet and do decisions
-fixed a typo preventing Egypt from joining France's faction unless they were Britain
-significantly increased the number of factories obtainable from focuses
-fixed the focus 'Southern Military Industry' actually giving civilian factories
-tweaked AI choices to hopefully ensure Egypt will actually declare war on the Ottomans
-tweaked AI choices so Egypt will hopefully actually invite Iran and Armenia to their faction before attacking the Ottomans

PER:
-reworked borders to be more logical and modest
-new lore setup which explores an Iran in which multiple factions remain relevant
-completely reworked the focus tree
-revamped the Iranian general staff, leaders, and advisor pool

SAU:
-fixed a couple bugs with advisors
-reduced the severity of their final economic debuffs
-fixed a bug where the black gold consumer goods reduction would reduce when improving the economy

JBS,HEJ,YEM,NAJ,HAD,OMA,UAE,KUW:
-added a focus tree which all share, with four paths to choose
-changed the default political setups to more adequately reflect their lack of democratic opposition
-some modified starting national spirits
-added custom and shared advisors
-tweaked a few generals
-added new country names for arabian unification and at game start
-a few modifications to flags and leaders
-fixed the (kr) portrait for the old UAE leader, which was in the game but not used
-added portraits for the new "leaders" of UAE and HAD

General:
-reworked provinces, terrain, states, and VPs in the Horn of Africa, reflecting regional changes (to be implemented shortly after the update)
-updated populations in the Horn of Africa based on real census data! (I could not find a useful census for Ethiopia, so theirs are guesswork)
-removed the... questionable flags in my profile picture (long overdue), now you can look at this mod without cringing. Oh wait, what's that- I decided to replace it with anime cringe? Yeah, sounds about right for a Paradox mod developer doesn't it...
-added a mini shared tree for Greece and Serbia to modernize the Balkan war content slightly (right now only greece can start the faction so I don't have to redo a ton of content yet)
-fixed some state names (internally and externally)
-new system for the start of the war between the Ottomans and Egypt

EGY:
-added new lore and starting situation
-added MIOs and industrial companies
-tweaked the graphical terrian in Egypt slightly
-near-total rework of the focus tree with only a few naval focuses and national spirits remaining unchanged

FRA:
-fixed a dlc-locked MIO
-added a decisions to invest in the Middle East if Egypt aligns with them

IND:
-added a number of new focus icons from the bad dlc

OTE:

**0.7.0** "Battle For The Levant"

The Battle For The Levant, although it didn't kill me like Rule Britannia, was exceptionally difficult to get released. The stupid new DLC slop spam paradox has been doing wrecks my dev cycle on the regular and makes it obnoxious. In particular was the new German focus tree they added, that was entering my game despite being overriden and was causing CTDs with no error message for months before I finally realized what the cause was.
I had grand plans for Battle For The Levant, and I hope you'll agree that the Ottoman focus tree, at least, is both my largest and best work ever released- the Ottoman Empire has over 100 different events, as well as a plethora of decisions to undertake. Unfortunately a lot of the other flagship content I planned for this update just was impossible to get in a timely manner, simply due to most of my efforts being in bug fixing. Of course, this means that AoE is more polished and has less miscellaneous errors than ever before, but if you've ever played this mod in debug mode you'll know I prioritize content over bug fixing. That said, Ashes of Europe is alive! And somewhat well. I am currently working on the Egyptian rework and when that finishes I will tie together the remaining Ottoman and Arab content and hopefully get a Persian tree in as well.

-updated province numbers for 1.15
-added new states and provinces in the Arabian region
-added new states and provinces in the Balkans, specifically in and around the Ottoman lands of the region
-totally reworked the populations of the Ottoman Empire, Armenia, Greece, and Arabian states to account for a lower amount of ethnic violence and no active genocides. Also corrected general errors in the region.
-the UAE, Oman, and Hadhramaut are now subjects of the United Kingdom
-Yemen, Jabal Shammar, Kuwait (new tag) and Najran (new tag) are now subjects of the Ottoman Empire
-modified the Ottoman-Albanian border to reflect proper historical proposals (as the previous setup was a placeholder)
-moved Albanian border south as giving those states directly to the Ottomans is disgusting border gore
-completely reworked the lore of the Ottoman Empire, with slight impacts on the Greek, Serbian, Bulgarian, and Romanian setups as well (not reflected for in-game lore)
-updated resource prospecting decisions to reflect modern additions of states by me and paradox
-fixed some minor long term errors
-fixed some broken national spirits
-fixed some minor errors related to starting units, mostly naval stuff
-fixed several duplicated or otherwise broken events, most importantly the peace out between India and the British
-split up the Krasnodar tag into a more logical status
-redid Ukrainian and Don region states
-a few flag fixes

ALB:
-added more generals
-gave them starting ideas which reflect their unfortunate starting position

-near-total rework of the focus tree with only a few economic focuses remaining unchanged

-fixed a bug which caused people to purge their country when justifying war goals
-fixed the game rule which blocked them from releasing countries

-received skeleton context
-Princely States receive additional content and may revolt
-NOTE: content is not balanced at the moment
-NOTE 2: as skeleton content it is playable but may not be particularly fun. You have been warned.

GER:
-added decisions to integrate states since they no longer start with cores

GRE:
-making a carrier via focus no longer crashes the game. Although realistic to what would actually happen if Greece did make a carrier, personally I like playing past 1942

IND:
-fixed some minor loc errors
-tweaked AI weights slightly to ensure they don't ignore the army entirely
-fixed an exploit where India could still peace out of ww2 after having joined a faction, thus getting free land mid-war and immediately rejoining
-tweaked faction joining decisions to account for the above fixes
-fixed the decision to get wargoals against foreign powers occupying claimed land so it actually works

IRE:
-fixed multiple issues related to the firing of events, making them (hopefully) finally playable

RUS:
-fixed a bug where Russia unlocked decisions via the wrong focuses, leading to certain other focuses being worthless

SOV:
-fixed a bug where Tukhachevsky would conduct an eternal purge
