Another thing that happened was, I found that the rear of the rover was too close to a hill. Every time I opened the rear door/ramp all the way, it got a little bit damaged. Eventually the door snapped off and I had to reload from earlier save. I produced some fuel for the rover and moved it forward enough so that the rear door didn't get damaged any more. I later learned that the rover had some fuel in it already despite not having any canisters, so I could have moved the rover from the moment I started playing.

I keep forgetting to provide feedback for this scenario. I won (reached a long term survival able state) many years ago.

I was able to build a little hab with a farm for growing potatoes and a water dispenser. I learned to not run around anywhere as it didn't speed up resource harvesting. Resources kept dwindling so I had to keep moving my machines to new sites. I was also able to build a printer large enough to build power sources. I stored all the resources I could in big storage tanks and now have way more oxygen than I know what to do with. I think I'll survive for a long time. It took over 24 hours to do all that.

That could work I guess, thanks :)

FredyC try to use Manned Small Landing Module, its have better radiation procection and its not make game easy :)

So I tried to make changes I've mentioned in my local copy of the scenario. Solar panels are helping a lot against just fooling around. Not even need extra cables because I only need to power 4 machines at the beginning anyway.

I also got rid of MML and have a poptent there. It's ok like that, but radiation is bit of a problem as poptent does not protect against it. I am not sure if there is something else that could be used as radiation protection without making scenario too easy.

Oh and with more power there should be more cables for sure. I wouldn't add another spool, just one extra laying around should suffice.

I think there should be more initial power. With dayscale 1:1 those MMRTG are dry most of the time so there is just a lot of waiting around. I wouldn't mind that if it would be possible to have game running in background while doing something else, but that's not the case.

I just placed down base for a small 3d printer and just seeing how much real time it took me, I don't think I will have enough patience to go with a whole thing.

In my opinion this has nothing to do with making it less difficult. Adding more power is merely a way how to make the beginning more bearable till you manage to build big enough printer to make your own power source.

Please considering adding at least two solar panels to compesante for this.

Anyway I like current resource setup. At first I thought it wouldn't be enough barrels, but it's ok like this, I already managed to make an extra one :)

I am thinking that you can probably replace that oxygen with poop as well. It's very easy to produce oxygen from the rock. There is plenty of time to fill up that barrel to refill suit way before running of oxygen. With poptent it would be even easier as it requires almost none to pressurize. Also solar event wont happen that fast so there is actually no need to use MML or poptent that soon.

Yea, MML is probably unnecessary from the start, but it's kinda important for a night work with its powerful lights. In case you remove it, it would be nice to have at least one of those lamps (floodlight?) there.
