Nice to see you again, I'd say just make it WotC only. The expansion's getting a 90% discount pretty regularly these days.
OldKillZone should work as advertised, though. It makes you break concealment to take the shot instead of waiting for concealment breaking from something else.

I'm no expert on UnrealScript but looking at the .u there seem to be 2 conditions. There's some code that's only run if OldKillZone is True and some code only run if KillZoneNotReactionWhileConcealed is True
So, with an unaltered XComGame.ini this mod will do something.
I assume KillZoneNotReactionWhileConcealed controls "killzone now also no longer suffers overwatch penalty if used as an ambush" and OldKillZone allows the ability to activate from concealment, as it used to way back when. IIRC, it was a hugely OP and fun opener.
Sounds like they know better than me. Could you post their specifics here, for everyone's benefit?
