A Standard scenario for the Midland Mainline

This scenario is exactly the same as '[pjt]Disrupted Daybreak (Railworks 101 DMU)' but uses the newer TS Class 101 DMU pack instead

You will run the 08:00 Thames - Cyde Express as far as Bedford where a new stop has been added. A few disruptions to deal with as the line get upgraded but a straight forward run otherwise

Difficulty : Easy
Duration : 50 - 55 mins
Traction : BR Class 45 'Peak'
Time period : Early to mid 1970's

*Please note, this scenario uses the updated Train Simulator BR Class 101 DMU*

Unfortunately. You can only go so far with only using 'Default' legacy stock so I've had to start expanding to use more DLC's.

Thanks very much for a super scenario, lots of AI and works going on. I really enjoyed it. May i suggest an Idea for a scenario, how about being the driver of one of the DMUs that has to give way to the express?

Hi,just wanted to say thanks for this enjoyable scenario.Plenty going on to keep any driver on his or her toes so to speak.The sections of the run where the service encountered diversions for engineering work were well thought out.Overall excellent,thanks for sharing...Kev.

It is definately the fan. When idle you get no fan noise, after a short while on full throttle a low whirring sound starts when the roof fan starts, every so often a higher pitches whirring sound and that is the fan speeding up for 20 - 30 secs. I ran this scenario and kept an eye on the fan on the roof.

The engine tone does change every so often on the Class 45 model as you're going along. I noticed that during all the tests I did on this scenario. To be honest, I can think of no reason why you'd be getting the Napier sound. There's no Deltic's in the scenario. The only thing that whines a bit are the 101's but you'd know the sound of them. Have you tried your 45 on a quickdrive on another route to see if the sound changes?

Hi Phil,the change in the engine sound I heard during this scenario was definitely that of a Deltic Napier two Stroke and not the cooling fan.Run this scenario and judge for yourself.
