描述
In vanilla Rimworld turrets are always looking for targets, even when no danger is present. This makes them incredibly performance heavy when using a lot of them. This mod tries to reduce that performance impact both in and out of combat.
This mod is most effective in late game colonies with many turrets and many raiders.



Features
  • Turrets only look for targets when danger is present
  • Target searching behaviour is throttled
  • The previous target is selected if still available

every 15 ticks always
now it's every 60 only while enemies are present
also no new target search while the previous target is still valid

It works for any turrets that inherit from the base turret in any way, which should be most modded turrets. I didn't want to change turrets with custom logic like those from SoS2.

This should be CE compatible. Worst case scenario CE overwrites some of my changes but I'm using both mods myself.

Thank you very much. My PC setup is kinda trash, I am unable to run a big colony with many pawns. Therefore "few pawns + many turrets" is a good option for me, and your mod literally gives me a chance to try a playstyle like that.
