In short;
- build a train station within a dome’s sphere of influence
- build a train station with a workplace within it’s sphere of influence
- build a train track from one to another
- select a train station, and build a train (the train with a “plus” icon)
- after the train is built, if it does not automatically get assigned to the track, go to the train station and select the “train” icon, then click on the track attached to that station. The text at your curtain will indicate “assign to track”
- passengers use trains similar to dome corridors. They will work (iirc) in-dome, then out-dome, then connected dome, then connected out-dome buildings. I suspect the train stations are essentially connected domes with a resource depo and extra steps
