DLCs have also changed things and made them a lot easier, as usual.
Trading with rival colonies is a good way to get the most out of your resources. Mining asteroids is absurdly profitable.
Terraforming changes properties of some buildings such as solar and wind producers, as well as vaporators and moxies.
Lots of resources to be found underground too, including a free cache when you first head down.
Chaining drone hubs usually doesn't work out well because the drones have poor AI. They just drop things at the nearest depot and continue on with their lives.
I wrote a mod to help with this, but its still not perfect as the devs override the mod code at a lower level. Best to use shuttle hubs when you can.

Sure it is 50% less power, but that just mean that the 10 power it does give you last forever unless a meteor hit it.
But I want to find a solution to the metal shortage.
If I have built many buildings, I cannot maintain them with one Mohole Mine.
Can I find additional sources? (Stable and infinite!)
