OVERVIEW
The Ascension Cascadia is a survival ready, luxury space-yacht, designed for exploring new worlds across the galaxy. It’s both atmosphere and space capable and can travel between the two as well. The Cascadia sports onboard storage, medical bays, a hangar capable of containing one medium or two small vehicles, as well as oxygen and hydrogen supplies. Occupants can enjoy a lounge area as well as four different bedroom suites.

FEATURES
Auto Airlock
Airlocks are designed so that only one side can be opened at once, avoiding loss of pressurisation.

Parking Mode
All gyroscopes can be locked at the click of a button, meaning the ship will remain entirely still whilst parked.

Jump Drive
The Cascadia contains one jump drive, capable of jumping both the ship and any vehicles onboard up to 1600km.

Retractable Landing Gear
The Cascadia comes with retractable landing gear. With the gear down, ground clearance is provided to allow for landings on uneven terrain. When retracted, the landing gear folds away into the body seamlessly. The gear locks to the body of the Cascadia when extended and retracted automatically, meaning the ship is always entirely stable despite the sub-grid architecture.

Rearview Camera
The rearview camera allows you to quickly check behind at any time. Handy for reversing or when travelling in groups.

Parachute System (Atmosphere Only)
The parachute system on the Cascadia gives an extra safety net in the event of thruster damage or an unintentionally fast approach. Parachutes are automatically fed from the onboard cargo, allowing seamless multiple operation.

Maintenance Access
A dedicated room allows access to all crucial components from within the ship, meaning no need to go searching for damage or removing areas of hull to fix.

TUTORIALS
Leaving a Planet for Space
1. Unlock the landing gear from the ground (Toolbar 2 D-Pad DOWN/Keyboard 8) and take-off.
2. Once clear of the ground, begin to fly forwards and pitch the nose up towards the sky as much as possible before the speed starts to drop below 99m/s.
3. As the speed starts to fall, lower the nose of the Cascadia to maintain 99m/s, this may be as low as 20 degrees nose up.
4. Monitor the crosshair in the circular trajectory window at the bottom of the screen.
5. As the ion thrusters kick-in and the speed starts to pick-up again, begin to pitch the nose up to maintain 99m/s. Space flight has now been achieved.

Thank you, that's a great compliment. I'll be honest the locking landing gear took hours to get working and fitting, probably the biggest issue I had designing the ship.

Would love to put something like that inside my my ships but as you say there isn't anything like that in the game at the moment.
