Ascension Spaceworks Explorer

OVERVIEW
The Ascension Explorer is a survival ready, luxury Sports Utility Truck (SUT) designed for exploring new worlds and tackling heavy off-road conditions. An integrated drone is housed in the rear to assist with navigation, videography and to explore extreme environments inaccessible by land. The Explorer exhibits many innovative features and automation, including but not limited to: welcome lights, ride height adjustment and automatic headlights. The Explorer contains basic survival equipment allowing up to three occupants to adventure into the unknown safely, for extended periods of time.

FEATURES
Parachute System (Atmosphere Only)
The parachute system on the Explorer allows you to take extreme drops safely. Parachutes are automatically fed from the onboard cargo, allowing seamless multiple operation.

Driving Modes
The Explorer comes with two driving modes; Manoeuvre mode and Stability mode. Manoeuvre mode switches on six-wheel steering to allow for tight turns and high agility. Stability mode switches the vehicle to two-wheel steering only, providing increased control at high speeds.

Rearview Camera
The rearview camera allows you to quickly check behind at any time. Handy for reversing or when travelling in groups.

Active Downforce (Atmosphere Only)
The active downforce thrusters will make sure all six wheels stay as firmly planted as possible for the best performance; whether that be climbing extreme inclines, or driving at high speed.

E-Drone (Atmosphere Only)
The integrated E-drone provides external views of the world around you on deployment. This can be extremely useful for navigation, but can also produce epic shots of your adventures.

Adjustable Ride Height
The Explorer will welcome you onboard in its lower position, allowing easy access and exit. Upon entering the drivers seat, the vehicle will automatically raise, ready to drive. The ride height can be manually overridden using the hotkey for when you need a sportier stance or for connecting accessories.

Artificial Mass
Turn on artificial mass when using the Explorer in artificial gravity, such as in a ship hangar in space. NOTE: Artificial mass can induce phantom ship movements if left on whilst the vehicle is parked! Switch off once the Explorer is connected to the ship.

Towbar
The Explorer is fitted with a universal towbar. Connection is achieved automatically and can be disconnected with a press of a button.

TUTORIALS
E-Drone Deployment
Step 1. Press “Toolbar 2 D-Pad UP/Keyboard 5”. This will automatically activate the E-Drone and release it from the Explorer
Step 2. Enter the in-game terminal by pressing "I" on the keyboard or the "back" button on a controller. Select the Remote Access panel and find the drone in the list of available vehicles. NOTE: Due to game limitations the E-Drone will display as "Small Grid XXXX" once released!
Step 3. Once you have identified the E-Drone, select "Control" and fly upwards. You can now fly around and view both forward facing and downward facing drone cameras.

E-Drone Return
Step 1. Fly the E-Drone back to the Explorer, orienting the drones forward facing camera in the forwards direction of the Explorer and with the drone positioned roughly over the rear of the Explorer.
Step 2. Switch to the E-Drone downward facing camera and position the camera crosshair using the alignment arrows in the drone storage area of the Explorer.
Step 3. Lower the E-Drone into the drone storage area of the Explorer. Pitch and roll the E-drone to match the Explorers angle as you descend.
Step 4. Continue to lower the E-Drone until it automatically re-attaches to the Explorer. Once attached the Explorer will sort the rest (E-drone will be switched off and charged automatically). You can now continue driving.

Towbar Usage
Step 1. Position the Explorer such that the attachment is behind the vehicle and both the Explorer and attachment merge blocks are facing each other.
Step 2. Lower the Explorer if not already done so using “Toolbar 2 D-Pad LEFT/Keyboard 6”.
Step 3. Ensure that the small merge blocks on the attachment are switched on.
Step 4. Reverse the Explorer slowly until the adapters merge (You may have to reduce the power in the “Wheels Explorer” group for more precise control). Once merged, the associated connectors will automatically lock as well, allowing for seamless material and resource passthrough between Explorer and attachment if available.
