Saif-class and Badr-class Frigates MOD
Mod Number: 3583879227

This Mod adds the Pakistan Navy's Saif-class ASW Frigates and Badr-class Missile Frigates to Sea Power.

During the 1980s the Reagan administration approved a military and economic aid to provide 4 Garcia-class ASW frigates and 4 Brooke-class Missile frigates on lease for the Pakistan Navy. They were respectively known as the Saif-class frigates and Badr-class frigates in the Pakistan Navy where they served from 1989 to 1993. They were fitted with a Phalanx CIWS on the hangar rooftop for improved anti-missile protection and renamed:

  • PNS Saif F-264 (Ex USS Garcia)
  • PNS Alsat F-265 (Ex USS O’Callahan)
  • PNS Harbah F-266 (Ex USS Brumby)
  • PNS Siqqat F-267 (Ex USS Koelsch)

  • PNS Badr F-161 (Ex USS Julius A. Furer)
  • PNS Khaibar F-162 (Ex USS Brooke)
  • PNS Tabuk F-163 (Ex USS Richard L. Page)
  • PNS Hunain F-164 (Ex USS Talbot)

In game terms they are identical to their US counterparts, except they have a Phalanx CIWS and don't operate any helicopter. Note: Unfortunately the Alouette III helo is not portrayed in the game (and I doubt it's devs top priority) while the Sea Kings are too large for the Garcia & Brooke's hangar.

Important (about mods and mods use):

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that mods can break early access games.
Jane Austen

This mod has been tested and is running perfectly on my computer (i7-11800H @ 2.30 Ghz - 16 GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050) with no other mod enabled. However, since they are as many computer configurations than computer users, it's unfortunately impossible to guarantee it will work on yours.
Be aware that by installing mods for Sea Power, you are modifying your game experience from the original intended product which is still, at this mod's release date, in EARLY ACCESS. Therefore, later game updates/patches may cause this mod to be deprecated. Although it is unlikely, the presence of other enabled mods might cause conflicts, and the more enable mods on your computer, the greater the chance of conflict. So, to sum it up, USE MODS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
If you wish to clean uninstal this mod make sure to follow these steps: 1) Uncheck this mod in the mod manager. 2) Click on Accept. 3) Unsubscribe. Then make sure the mod's file is no longer in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1286220 folder.

Ah right, I forgot about that. Good work though.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the Argentine Navy mode uses Sealifter and Anchor Chain. Personnaly I try to keep my mods free of any 3rd party mod requirement. So I guess the best solution is probably to petition the devs in order they quickly implement the beloved Alouette III LOL

The Argentine navy mod has an Alouette III, maybe you can ask them?

Thanks for your interest :). It's not a bad idea. I'll think about it. Without guarantee. I would have to retexture the MD500 and change its specs. It's entirely feasible, but it could take quite a bit of time. But in the meantime I just added the Badr-class (Ex Brooke) frigates to the mod.

MD550 could be used as subsitute for allouette III
