The Oppressor is a jet-like Synth you meet while recruiting Zadra during the main mission A Lot to Process. It hovers, strafes, and saturates lanes with missiles and beams, pushing you to aim true and manage space under pressure. Think precise peeks, not run-and-gun.

Follow the story to A Lot to Process in the Fadefields. Push into the Dissected Plateau and enter The Killing Floors arena. After your first clear, come back and use Moxxi’s Big Encore machine by the entrance to re-run the fight for drops any time. Clean loop for early farming.

1. Fight at mid to long angles using the shack, crate stacks, and the arena drop-in lip to break line of sight. Open with scoped rifles or accurate ARs so you can land crits while it’s airborne. When it starts the cluster pattern, look up, move laterally, and pick the child missiles out before they blanket your position. If you see the shoulder cannons pivot toward you, that’s free damage time while you strafe because those volleys don’t track. When it charges a glowing ball, shoot the ball itself for crits during the windup, then tuck back to cover. Keep one weak add alive as a Second Wind anchor if things go wrong.
   
   
2. Element matchups matter here. It opens with a shield bar, then armor. Bring Shock to shred the blue, then swap to Corrosive for the yellow. If you’re light on elements, kinetic works, but you’ll feel the time loss. Don’t mag-dump during its projectile barrage if your shield is broken. Peek, burst, hide, breathe. Three cycles is normal on story gear.

Want a safer route? Use the drop-in ledge to block most angles and pop out only after carpet bombs land. Just don’t finish the boss while it’s over a roof or you can risk loot falling in a bad spot.

  Tightens those short punish windows when you’re deleting cluster missiles midair or threading shots into the crit ball before the beam.
