描述
This mod replaces all in-game music with over 60 minutes of pure NEW WAVE bliss. Cruise through the American landscape with the synth-pop new wave beats of the 80's! Turn your trucking journey into a neon-soaked, '80s-fueled adventure.

Perfect with the SCS Retrowave Paintjobs DLC (not required). Hit the highway, crank the synths, and drive like it’s 1985.

⚠️CAUTION: Exceeding speeds of 88 mph may result in inadvertent time travel. Great Scott!

⚠️ ATENTION YOUTUBE CONTENT CREATORS!⚠️ TheSimGuy packs DO NOT have a YoutTube ContentID which would otherwise demonetize your content. Feel free to stream worry free while having this mod and/or TheSimGuy radio stations playing in the background! Remember, it is best practice to always upload a test sample to ensure YouTube (or other service) policies and methods have not changed.


Adding In-Game TheSimGuy Radio Station
The entire playlist of the New Wave Music Pack has been added to the 80’s Retro Music Pack radio station bringing the station's rotation to over two hours of continuous play without a repeat! To add this in-game radio station and other TheSimGuy stations, you’ll need to manually edit the `live_streams.sii` file located in your Documents/American Truck Simulator folder.

⚠️ Important: Editing this file can overwrite any existing custom radio stations you’ve added. Always make a backup of your current `live_streams.sii` file before making changes. If you’re unsure, there are several YouTube tutorials that walk through the process step by step.

Steps:
1) While game is not running, navigate to: Documents/American Truck Simulator
2) Open live_streams.sii with a text editor (e.g., Notepad).
3) Replace the existing content with the code below :

4) Save the file.
5) Launch American Truck Simulator.
6) Open the in-game Radio and click Update From Internet.

TheSimGuy stations should now appear in your radio list. Happy trucking!



MOD Placement
Place this New Wave Music Pack mod above any other music mods to prevent conflicts.
Some sound packs—like the popular Sound Fixes Pack by Drive Safely—also replace event music, such as the warning tune that plays when you’re running out of delivery time. In Sound Fixes Pack, this is swapped for the classic Nokia ringtone.
If you want to keep the Nokia ringtone, simply load this New Wave Music Pack mod below it.

PLEASE READ – Known Issue (NOT A BUG)
The menu music will not play immediately when you first launch the game. This is because the updated music is only loaded into the game’s user interface after your profile has been loaded and you’ve entered the main game-play by selecting “Drive” or starting a delivery—in other words, once you’re actually in your truck.

After this initial load, whenever you return to any of the main menus, the updated music should play as intended. Please don't ask me to fix this. Sadly, it is SCS core functionality that cannot be changes with a MOD.

Hi @ARchR-X® . Thanks for your question. Those links, the "streemlion.com" stream links are NOT intended for opening in a web browser. They are links that the ATS/ETS game itself use to stream mp3 data (the radio stations). That is why they are part of the live_streams.sii configuration file and not for 'normal' web browsing. I do not control what parameters Steam uses to determine what may or may not be malicious. But, as a software engineer and someone that regularly deals in network security, my guess is they are warning you this as "potentialy" malicious because 1) it streams .mp3 data, not a web page (html). 2) it is on an alternate port which is the number after the ":" in the URL. Hi @dodgestreetracer74, thanks for your question. So, if i'm understanding correctly, your question is in regards to the 70's Rock Music Pack. There are only "streaming radio stations" associated with three of the music packs. 80's Retro (which includes music from this New Wave Pack), Heavy Rock, and Country. All of the other music packs are only in-game music for menus and other events that play music. Unfortunately, as stated in previous comment, it is a matter of economics. I pay for those internet radio streams personally and I am only able to pay for three at this time. I hope that answers your question. Let me know if I can clarify anything further. Hi, sorry I been away, but I have the original download of how you said to copy and paste the Country,80's, and Rock. That all works fine but I downloaded the mod for classic rock and put the mod in where you normally would. It doesn't update to show the classic rock in my library. I was just wondering if the music is attached to the mod or if I have to do an external path?

Hi @Tomatobromat! Thank you for your question. It is a simple matter of economics. It costs money to maintain the streams 24/7. I am happy to donate my time and money to the community but I do unfortinatley have a limit to funds. I did add the New Wave pack tracks to the 80's Retro pack radio broadcast since they are technically in the same genre. But it would be difficult to say add the county to the heavy rock. If at some point I am able to afford additional streaming servers I will do so. Happy trucking! - TheSimGuy I :doublenickels:

Hey! Thanks for the brilliant work. But: not all of your packs have links to online radio station streams (I only found Retro, Heavy & Country pack so far) - could you set up streams for the other pcks too, please? I'd love to listen to your great tracks while driving! THX a mil!
