Attention Command: Advent has introduced a new class of field operatives—code-named “Angels.” Unlike previous enemy deployments, these units emphasize visual impact over traditional intimidation. Outfitted in form-fitting armor and striking silhouettes, they seem engineered to provoke hesitation, disrupt focus, and throw XCOM forces off balance. But battlefield confusion isn’t their only purpose. Civilian surveillance reports suggest the Angels also serve as morale stabilizers among the occupied — a prettier face to authoritarian control. Turns out oppression’s easier to market when it’s got curves and a perfect smile.

Intercepted memo reads: "Deploy the angels at maximum force. They will do what weapons cannot: disrupt patterns, confuse targeting, overwrite discipline, and pacify the masses. They will call it spectacle. We call it control."

The Advent Angels – Steam Edition brings the flair of action anime fan-sérvice into the XCOM universe, replacing many of the Advent and Alien enemy units with a stylized, visually striking all-female crew. Designed as a cosmetic overhaul, this mod offers an alternative visual experience for players who enjoy bold designs, dramatic flair, and a touch of over-the-top style. Whether you’re here for the aesthetic, the concept, or just to see Advent’s weirdest psy-op yet, I hope you find something fun in it.

✦ Why The Paid Patreon DLC?
I’ll be straight with you: I can’t model. Meshes, UVs, rigging, textures—way out of my league. But the vision? That I had. And it was glorious. But no one else was doing it, not even a hint. So I started commissioning. Trouble is, this work is pricey—at least three to five grand by the time it's over—and I’m not rich enough to drop that kind of money casually. A generous donor swooping in would be amazing, but in lieu of that, it’s about pooling support.

I covered the Stunlancer and part of the Trooper out of pocket, just to get the project moving. Now it’s in the community’s hands. If you want to see how far this can go—and how wild it can get—let’s build it together.

@Serek/Soul/Ember: I hear you that the trooper should be closer to the concept's thickness. I got caught up in getting the armor panels sculpted right that I forgot to review the body's shape thoroughly enough. I'm thankful that you all pointed that out. I've already relayed the feedback and my modeler is already working on the adjustment. :)

Both RRA and Advent Angels have been updated! Once you update RRA, you’ll now see Angels in the Bestiary (UFOpedia) according to your MCM settings when RRA is enabled.

Those using the OPTC fallback were already seeing Angels there, so no changes were needed - but since OPTC is such a heavy-handed approach, it’s great that RRA can now handle it gracefully. :)

@JM_Vegan: That’s a brilliant idea, and potentially really complicated, too - but it ended up being surprisingly easy to pull off. RustyDios’s Bestiary emits an event when a unit is visualized, and RRA was built so cleanly that it just snapped right into place to reskin those units automagically. Huge props to RustyDios for the solid bestiary code and UI, he did an amazing job on that mod! It is SO nice!

Advent Angels RRA reskinning in the bestiary is already working in my dev build and will roll out once it’s polished. Thanks again for the idea!

Sorry to disturb again! In the ufopedia mod, there's a bestiary section where you can screen (see the model) every type of alien and advent you have discovered... it's inside de avenger. Wouldn't ot be nice if you could screen your version of advent instead of the original one?
