A lightweight, highly configurable mod that finally gives your hyper-intelligent animals the utility and cleanliness to match their boosted brainpower!

Filth Reduction:
- Percentage-Based Filth Reduction: Reduces the filth generated by animals with the Sentience Catalyst by a percentage. Don't want your prized, super-smart Thrumbo turning your sterile research lab into a barn? Now you can control exactly how clean they are.

- Fully Configurable: Use the in-game mod settings menu to choose any value from 0% (no filth) to 100% (no change). The default is a 50% reduction.

- Exempt from Filth Alert: Prevent sentience boosted animals from ever triggering the "Animal Filth" alert, no matter their individual filth rate. (Can be turned off in mod settings)

Compatibility
- Compatible with mods that make Sentience Catalyst a leveled/stackable condition. When increasing the severity, the filth rate reduction increases as well.

- Should be compatible with virtually all other mods.

- Safe to add or remove from an existing save at any time. Generates an error after removing, but it's harmless and shouldn't affect anything.

Expanded Farm Animal Features (Optional)
Promote your farm animals to the next level with these toggleable enhancements. All new features are disabled by default to ensure a seamless experience for existing users.

- No Pen Needed: Free your sentience boosted farm animals from their pens! When enabled, they behave like normal animals and no longer require a pen to prevent them from wandering off.

- Full Area Control: Once freed from their pens, you can assign sentience boosted farm animals to specific allowed areas, just like colonist and non-farm animals.

- Can Open Doors: Grant your sentience boosted farm animals the ability to open doors, allowing them to navigate your base freely to get to their assigned zones. (Requires "No Pen Needed" to be active, if not enabled they will only be able to pass through animal flaps, not normal doors).

@Natangry the most recent update solved this issue in the base game itself.
@Kilo Thank you, I removed all features besides the filth reduction, as they are now all part of the base game.

from unstable patch notes: Sentience Catalyst now removes roaming and fence-blocked status from animals

the rest of your mod will still apply and be useful, but just thought you might like to know for when that drops! thanks for making this, made the catalyst so much more useful

@Fokson It is now compatible with mods that allow stacking, works the way you described in your comment.

I'm not sure when it happened, but one of the updates broke the filth rate slider and now animals are stuck at 50% filth after sentience catalyst regardless of what I adjust it to.

Could we get a little compatibility patch for "Friend Clever" that allows its stacking effect to multiplicatively reduce filth rate for each level? ( ie, 50% -> 25% -> 12%, etc ).

Also, might be an incompatibility with that mod or another, but setting filth rate to anything other than 50% in the mod settings does nothing - filth rate always remains at 50% for me.

@hmph. Thanks for the info, it should be fixed now. Animals won't enter "roaming" mental state if either "doesn't need pen" or "can use allowed areas" are enabled in the mod options.
