Cityscapes Collection by silfae - Fix (Version 4.0.21)

描述
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Thanks to discovery made by Little Tee, cityscapes no longer trigger unwanted shipsets, making everything cleaner and more convenient to use.
Be sure to check out Little Tee’s incredible mod, which adds even more stunning cityscapes: Little Tee's Cities

DISCLAIMER!!!
This is NOT my content and will be removed upon the original author's return.

All credits goes to silfae

WARNING!!!
This mod does NOT include any portraits or other assets from the original mods—only cityscapes. It works fully independently and does NOT require the original mods to function. In theory, it should also be compatible with them, as it's been scripted to avoid interference. However, if the original mods are installed, the cityscapes may appear duplicated in the selection menu — this was a necessary compromise to ensure full standalone functionality without affecting other content.

COMPATIBILITY:
Uses scripted_variable for inline_script:
@ak_cityscapes_by_silfae_is_active = 1
Sets global flag:
flag_ak_cityscapes_by_silfae

COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITY
I have a wealth of creative concepts for event chains, origins, civics, and immersive story-driven content — all deeply rooted in Stellaris lore and flavor. While I understand the basics of scripting and what's technically possible within the engine, I lack the time and coding expertise to fully bring these ideas to life.
If you're a modder or scripter who enjoys the creative side of Stellaris and would like to collaborate on passion-driven projects, I'd love to work together. This is a hobby-based, non-commercial opportunity — purely for the love of world-building and game design. You'll have full creative input, proper credit, and the chance to build something unique as part of a small, like-minded team.
If that sounds interesting, don’t hesitate to reach out — let’s make something awesome together!

LIST OF MY MODS:

Some of my mods will remain private for various reasons and won’t be publicly listed. However, if your profile is set to public, feel free to send me a friend request — I’ll gladly grant you access.

@Teamson - I've resent you invite, cuz I cancelled yours by accident.
Teamson 10 月 3 日 上午 11:07
@Alankraskow - that would be massive! Thanks.

@Crimson Read the comments. Paradox made changes to the city scapes that upped the quality but also broke all existing city set mods (and mods that add city sets) in the process.

doesnt work for me cities arent positioned correctly

@Teamson - I don't get it either. Such a redundant change it seems. Yes the quality is better now, but that wasn't such a major thing to begin with. And because of that we lost so much content. I personally gave up on modding Stellaris for now. No desire to spend months on mods, just to have to update them every time they change something.

On a side note: I have a collection of selected species that I revived. It's available to friends only, as I didn't wanted to go and ask every creator for permission. But if you interested, feel free to send me friend request and you will be able to get it from my workshop.

God why do they even need to touch this again?

Same with the species.

They came and offered a little feature no body asked for. But the price was that we lost access to 99% of all workshop Species. Thanks paradox.

Now all the cities gone?

*upgrade 550-600 .dds files across all my mods with cityscapes I forgot to add
alankraskow  [作者] 9 月 23 日 下午 12:14
@tilarium oh I'm not sure they changed the code for Cityscapes. They defo changed the size of canvas to have the same for all individual .dds files. So that means I would have to redo 550-600 .dds files to upgrade them to the new format. Add to that polishes to make them look better, which would be required at this point and it would be like a job for few weeks at least. From a modder point of view it's insane to be constantly forced to update their content like that when we all do it for free at the end of the day. At this point it's turning more and more into job, rather than a hobby.

@Alankrashow Yup, I fully agree. There doesn't look like there is anything that should have affected the cityscapes with this DLC and update but they still did something that touched the code. I have a love/hate relationship with their current method of updating because it keeps the game alive and fresh, but it breaks games and mod lists nearly every time. I've been trying to rebuild my mods list for CK3 for 2 weeks now, since the last update and DLC but I keep stalling because I don't want to, knowing I'll have to do it again in a month

@tilarium they changing stuff that IMO doesn't really need to be changed and tbh I lost motivation to mod Stellaris anymore. The constant changes result in modlists being broken every few weeks or so and I got feed up with all the work that goes into trying to make the game playable with mods, to the point I don't even play Stellaris myself anymore.
