It's a bicycle, hop on!

Extra special big thanks to Nik for making the new bike model and attachments, as well as helping set up the attachment system!

Extra special big thanks to Viruana for letting me use their spawn system!

If you are playing with a lot of mods and having issues, try the lite version of the mod instead.

There is also a B41 version of the mod, with multiplayer support!

There's also a skateboard!

FEATURES
------------------------------
  • A rideable bicycle that increases movement speed while equipped. Right click on the bike and use context option "Hop on" to ride.

  • Hold SHIFT to go faster!

  • Hold Right Mouse Button or CTRL to steer using the mouse.

  • Press E while near a bicycle to hop on, and press E again while riding to hop off. Can be changed to a different button in mod options.

  • Riding the bicycle without holding SHIFT takes as much stamina as walking (none), and holding shift takes as much stamina as running.

  • The bicycle speed can be adjusted in mod options.

  • Immersive Mode toggle in mod options, with it enabled you will go slightly slower on rough surfaces like grass/gravel/sand/dirt.

  • Spawns in garages, storage units, sport stores, and a few other places where it makes sense to find bicycles.

  • Parts system, find attachable containers, lamps, wheels and other parts to upgrade your bike!

  • Is affected by leg/foot injuries and health. If you have a broken leg or foot then you can't pedal at all.

MOD INCOMPATIBILITIES

!! IMPORTANT NOTE !!
Most issues should be resolved by placing my mod at the bottom of the mod list, so try that if you're having an issue that is not listed below.

  • Context menu to place bicycle in trunk might not work with some modded vehicles (tested and works with KI5 cars)

  • If nothing is showing in the inventory at all, fix it by enabling the [B42] Another items UI beta option in Mod options for Bicycle

  • Inventory Tetris - INCOMPATIBLE. This mod will not work with Inventory Tetris. Use the lite version of Bicycle instead

  • Guns of 93: Test Build (Unstable) - Fix by placing Bicycle UNDER Guns of 93 in mod load order

  • Has Been Read - Fix by placing Bicycle OVER Has Been Read in mod load order

  • [B42] Another items UI beta - Fix by enabling option in Mod options for Bicycle

How do I attach/detach parts like containers and wheels?
Follow these instructions:
-- 1. Have the parts in your main player inventory
-- 2. Drop the bike on the floor and stand near it
-- 3. Right click the bike in the floor inventory and choose "Upgrade"

  • Dragging items into bike containers sometimes shows as red (blocked) but it still works as long as the container still has room in it.

This mod can only be added to and extended with the express permission from the original creator. Having received permission, credit must be given to the original creator, both within the files of the mod and wherever the mod roams online.

Question. I dont see the mod when I go into the mod folder in game. Is that normal?

Yeah i need to update it to work with 42.13, I'm working on that but I want to push it with my other features and content, so might be another day or two before it's out.

As of 42.13 update, appears to be causing a bug which makes all inventories unusable. Lite Version confirmed to function normally.

@Vinter Nacht Shouldn't be much longer for stable! They mentioned MP was the last major feature before going stable, so unless it's super buggy it shouldn't be far.

To answer your previous comments:
I have added some new "offroad" tires which doesn't have a speed penalty when riding on grass/dirt etc. and if using the "street" tires on rough terrain then they have a chance to get a puncture.
There's currently a front basket, a crate you can put on the package holder, and some proper saddle bags. I'm adding so you can also put a toolbox on the back, and put plastic bags on the handles for more storage.

I'm gonna expand on it more later, like I will make it so you can patch punctures and pump the tire again, the chain will get rusty if left out in the rain, and make it so you gotta lubricate the chain if the bicycle has not been used for a while.

That'd be pretty exciting! I don't intend to play until B42 is out of unstable, but the hype is real!

MP releasing is crazy! I'm gonna try to make the mod MP compatible, but if it's proving to be too much work right now, then I will just wrap up the patch (it's like 90% done) and release it, and work on MP support after.
