If you could post those errors on the workshop or the discord server, it would be appreciated.

This is a test build for Guns of 93. Only add this mod if you would like to test new feature and offer bug reports or suggestion for the next update for Guns of 93. Please post logs, concerns, or suggestions in the Discussions below or on the Guns of 93 Discord Server[discord.gg].

The Test Build is now primarily focused on rebuilding Guns of 93 for B42.

Instead of trying to list out a road map, I’m just going to start posting the most current update to this mod.

New update - 10/23/2025:

I had much more planned for this update, but life has been selfish for attention. So here is what I have so far.

- New maintenance system running. Guns can be repaired with similar firearms, though the closer the match, the more they repair. Guns that most closely match will not increase the repair number. Guns can now also be broken down into parts to save space. In the future this will also give you a frame/receiver that can be built back into a working gun, but that needs more time in the oven. This new system also works for repairing silencers.
- The new maintenance context menu will also show you how much fouling a firearm or silencer has. Cleaning kits can now be used multiple times before running “empty”. In the future they will be reloaded, but crafting a cleaning kit will produce a “full” one at the moment.
- I plan on adding sandbox options to turn off the fouling mechanic and give a little control over how the maintenance system works.
- I avoided it for a while, but I added an OnTick function to search and replace gun spawner items. Hopefully no more "If you can see this - Something is wrong." Mods like Item Stories should work now. Survivor homes will now spawn with firearms occasionally.
- Adjusted the spawning method so that containers don’t become overfilled.
- Break action reloading should work again.
- Cleaned up some missed changes from B42.12 in the bayonet switching lua.
- Several scope rails and firearm sights issues corrected.
- Fixed T-Grips not being able to be installed.
- Fixed the AR cheek riser from being able to install on telescopic stocks.
- Fixed issues with removing and installing folding bayonets on the SKS and Polytech AKS.
- Chokes can be installed and removed with bayonets installed.

I sleep now.

I understand that it’s an intended feature.
however, what I meant was that guns with very low durability are being spawned too often.
for example, if there are ten guns in a police department armoury, usually two to four of them have such low durability that they can’t really be used.

Randomized durability?! That's a feature, not a bug, I was just looking for that as a whole mod unto itself. I'm swapping away from Firearms mod, and I'm looking at a few different options. Very excited to see how active the development is on this one, think I'll be using this in my new world in a bit.

yougoodmygood - Durability is randomized, though will be generally higher in gun shops, police stations, abd military armories. If you see two the same, that's just the Zomboid RNG being what it is. What locations are you finding “If you can see this - Something is wrong"?

This update has made the mod much more stable than before, but there are still a few issues remaining.
The firearms that spawn in police stations or military bases have decent durability, but those found in regular houses usually have low durability. Also, quite a few guns appear with exactly the same durability in different locations.
And sadly, the “If you can see this - Something is wrong.” error still occurs, though it seems less frequent now.

To everyone who cannot equip on back or sling since the new maintenance system was introduced: You can still drag long weapons into your back or sling slot

luisss - That's planned. Eventually most semi autos will be convertible by modifying trigger parts or adding additional parts.
