Yeah right now it's broken on 42.13, it will only work on 42.12 for now, but I will update it soon.

Yeah i need to update it to work with 42.13, I'm working on that but I want to push it with my other features and content, so might be another day or two before it's out.

As of 42.13 update, appears to be causing a bug which makes all inventories unusable. Lite Version confirmed to function normally.

@Vinter Nacht Shouldn't be much longer for stable! They mentioned MP was the last major feature before going stable, so unless it's super buggy it shouldn't be far.

To answer your previous comments:
I have added some new "offroad" tires which doesn't have a speed penalty when riding on grass/dirt etc. and if using the "street" tires on rough terrain then they have a chance to get a puncture.
There's currently a front basket, a crate you can put on the package holder, and some proper saddle bags. I'm adding so you can also put a toolbox on the back, and put plastic bags on the handles for more storage.

I'm gonna expand on it more later, like I will make it so you can patch punctures and pump the tire again, the chain will get rusty if left out in the rain, and make it so you gotta lubricate the chain if the bicycle has not been used for a while.

MP releasing is crazy! I'm gonna try to make the mod MP compatible, but if it's proving to be too much work right now, then I will just wrap up the patch (it's like 90% done) and release it, and work on MP support after.

The addition of new bikes is pretty exciting, and I'll definitely be looking forward to that. I'd love to see in-depth maintenance requirements for it, and the ability to update/mod bikes. Like maybe some rear wheel pegs so you can have someone ride on the back.

Is there a front and rear basket? I

I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole, do with these suggestions/information what you like. :)
Baskets:
- Front Basket
- Rear Basket
- Dual Rear Basket
- Rear Racks (Goes over rear tire, smaller capacity, can strap smaller bags to it with straps to add more capacity. Maybe strap larger objects to it (Generators seem insane, but not impossible?)

Bike Trailer:
- Actual Bike Trailer (Designed for carrying cargo)
- Lower capacity Bike Stroller Trailer
- Condition can impact speed, max capacity, risk of losing contents, impact on stamina/muslce strain based on weight.
- Can reduce effective weight of contents in terms of impacting performance factors.

Different Wheel Types (Adjusts performance by terrain)
- Impact speed and stability on different terrains
- Tire wear impacted by type of terrain based on tire type
- Tire wear impacted by pressure (on top of terrain) adjusted for tire type
- Wrong tire on wrong terrain (street bike on rough terrain) gives risk of tire puncture on top of wear.
- Riding over sharp things (glass and certain objects) gives risk of puncture (based on wheel type and condition)
- Chance to fall when riding over larger objects (such as bodies, car parts, places bags, etc.)

Biking Skill:
- Increase max speed
- Decrease stamina drain/muscle strain
- Reduce risk of falls when traveling over uneven terrain/objects.
- Reduce fall risk from cargo weight/bike damage
- Reduce risk of chain popping off with low condition cranksets and/or chains.

Gear Settings:
- Each gear provides a different benefit of acceleration vs stamina/energy drain
- Terrain is taken into account in the above calculations

@Szymkim2134 Yeah I have a fix for the foraging mode already done in my dev build. I have made a lot of progress on the patch, so when it's pushed that issue will be resolved.
I have made some new animations for actions on the bicycle, so drinking and eating will look different and not break.
I'll look into the generator bug, thanks for letting me know

This mod is not Compatible with the "Dynamic Infinite Search Mode" mod, or overall with Foraging system - Everytime i ride my Bike ONLY with the Wooden crate [prob. with saddlebags and Basket too], While i also have Foraging On, i have "A lot" of Wooden Crates Prompts, they're spamming everywhere i go [at least they don't spam when the Bicycle is not moving]. This can probably lead to Duplication of items, and OP Foraging Exp gains, but i haven't clicked on any of these in my playthrough, i just ignored them, But this is still an issue.
Also, Drinking anythins while riding breaks the animations - The Bicycle becomes invisible, but Character is still doing the motion for riding a Bicycle.
Another bug - Hopping on Bike, while having a Generator in hands, put's the Generator into main inventory, because of that you can after hopping off the bike, Use weapons while still having the generator in your inventory.

@Tito Thank you Tito, glad you like it! I've resumed work on the patch for it, so it's about to get even better!

@Vinter Nacht There is indeed a bell! Right now they're invisible and kind of just built into the bike (press Q to ring on any bike). But in the patch I'm working on it will be a visible attachable part that you have to find, or get lucky and find a bike that spawned with one attached.
There's only one type of bike at the moment, but at some point soon I hope to make a couple of new ones, like police bikes, mountain bikes etc.
But the patch I'm working on will make it so you need to maintain the wheels and chain to be able to keep riding it.

Haven't grabbed this yet. Do we have a bicycle bell to ring like some psychotic little girl summoning zombies to follow us? (ring ring! ring ring!)

Also, different types of bicycles?

Like mountain bikes that don't get a speed penalty when off-road?
Racing bikes that suck off-road but have higher base speed on paved surfaces?

Commuter bikes, XC Mountain Bike, Downhill, Road Bike, Gravel Bike, Touring Bike, Freestyle Bike, Fat Bike, Folding City Bike, Cargo/Utility Bikes

There's so many options! Include various tire types, gearing, pedal types, chain types, etc. You can add wear to the various types, and make them more prone to fall over if they have baskets with weight. Training wheels maybe? How about a bike trailer! >.> Just some ideas.

@RedChili I have some mods (a lot actually) but I don't think that would be the case because I throw itens on the ground everywhere on my safehouse and they stay there. I will see if it happens again and report any specifics.
I was just on Ekron, got off the bike a few houses before a place to loot, then came back and it wasn't there anymore.
I do have a feeling though- I have Knox event NPC's, and they sometimes loot stuff outside of my safehouse. I will see if any of them just decided to grab the bike.

@Holl lo That's very odd, it should never be possible for it to just disappear, zombies won't touch it.
The bicycle is technically a weapon, so if you have any mods that pool loot, or cleans up stuff laying in the world after a certain amount of time, that could be it.
But if you have no mods like that then I'm not sure what could have happened. There's nothing in my code that would disrupt the regular item saving functions.
It's also the first I hear about that happening, but if I get more reports like that then I will take a very deep look into it.

It works just fine. However, I left my bike behind to farm some stuff, and it simply disappeared. Do zombies break it or something even if left alone?

It also would be good if bike weight is reduced to 99 or 100% if catched in two hands since its how riding implemented because i had some times these 1.5 kgs enough to start hurting of overweight. On the other hand, it's a kind of debuff for ability to move faster, so its debatable

@tilarium Yes I have it working in my dev build, just been so busy with other mods and real life that I haven't had a chance to finish it and push it yet, but hopefully I'll have time very soon to focus on it.

@Dourbest yeah I have a fix for the forage mode so they won't show in it. I will also make some changes to how the bike works in the woods and stuff like adding falling off and crashing in general.

Adding bicycle bucket to attachment makes bike spamming these buckets in foraging mode. Also riding with right mouse button negates all stagger movement in woods so it makes you pass through forest fast and safely

Love this mod! Would it be possible to add a DIY electric motor to it? It could be a fun addition that uses electrical, which is solely lacking fun options. I suggest a wired up car battery like the solar mod. Maybe use the same one? Then engine parts and electric wiring for the motor. Use the battery charge like a fuel gauge. It would make finding a battery charger really important too!

Mostly it's just for a speed boost. Trade off would be added weight.

For those experiencing the flashlight bug and wanting to replace the battery, simply convert the bicycle flashlight into a regular flashlight, replace the battery, and then convert it back into a bicycle flashlight.

@EnVnullmissing Yeah it's a vanilla bug that affects all gun lights, and since my bicycle is technically a weapon and the bicycle lamp is a gun light attachment, it's affected by it as well.
I have a fix in my dev build, I just have a few more things that I want to fix before I push the patch. But if it's not ready soon I will push just the lamp fix and the rest later

How to make the lamp work?noting happens when I press F,more seriously I can't put batteries in it and the batteries just disappear instead

@Jamolisim It's on purpose, by default you can't put it in your inventory, but in the mod options you can enable the "allow transfer to inventory" option if you want to

@kevinltaylorj Thank you for the info! I can see that the person who made the gun light fix uses the same method as me, I just have a few more things I want to include in the patch before I release it, but the bike lamp is already fixed on my dev build

whenever you plan to look into the bicycle lamp which at least for me doesn't work, there is this mod: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3595628283&tscn=1762522373 it's a gun light patch. It should be able to help you fix your lamp, I presume.

There's a bug when you are cycling. If you search around, it appears on the road all the accesories you have in bicycle

@RedChili yes, it would be great if you could make it compatible with that mod, but since their interaction doesn't cause any errors, then if it doesn't work out, then it's okay. You just have to turn it off to put the wheels and other things on the bike and then turn it on.

@LostBoyLazarus I think actually there's a vanilla bug that currently makes any gun light (which the bicycle lamp technically is) not work. I will look into it for the next patch

@RedChili, thank you however its not working for me. I've converted the torch, it has a battery and the option (appears twice) shows in the radial menu, but doesn't affect anything when used or when F is pressed like normal. I'll investigate further.
