The HS-385-M "Thunderdrake" Fanjet Aircraft

J-Tech Rescue systems proudly presents the all new cutting edge HS-385-M "Thunderdrake" Long Range Rescue Fanjet Aircraft.
Air, Ground and Sea Rescue has never been this easy, and now its easier than driving a car!

The HS-385 is a Military Assault Dropship rebuilt for Search- and Rescue Operations in extreme conditions. The vehicle has been specially modified to provide full functionality and control to the pilot, even on solo missions and in heavy weather or long-range operations.
Thanks to a highly advanced 3-mode flight-control-system, the aircraft is easy and reliable to operate even for untrained pilots, yet retains maximum flexibility and functionality, giving even veteran pilots new possibilities to look forward to!

Last but not least, over are the days of having to travel to a different base to spawn different vessels. The HS-385 can be spawned in any large dock without and hassle! Just make sure to use the Roof Hatch when afloat.

Important Usage Notes (Read before flying please!):

- DON'T disable the flight support system, you will crash and die a horrible death...the switch is...rather decorative
- Always carry a remote Control so you can activate the recovery mode (Ch5: Button 1)
- To Disable the Autopilot in Cruise Mode, set the Coordinates to 0,0
- Don't Open the doors while floating, there is drainage but it will take time, the thing can sink if you flood it...

Startup:
1. Get in the Pilot Seat
2. Flip all 4 Switches on the Lower-Center Panels close to the seat
3. Flip the 2 Switches on the Top-Center Panel and press the ignition button
4. You are now flying in heli mode (blue horizontal indicator). You can switch the flight mode up for cruise mode (red uppwards indicator) or down for GPS Hover Mode (green downwards indicator).

- Refueling can be done through the Hatches on the side
- Water tanks will refill automatically when floating, indicated by the flashing tank display

That's it, you can fly now!
Everything else should be pretty self explanatory.

@Jachover don’t know, I’ll have to check when I get back on the game

@Apollo Are you by chance using low physics detail in your game settings? That is known to cause that issue, because hitboxes are different under that setting.
Apollo 10 月 1 日 下午 1:37
Don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but when trying to go into forward flight mode the helicopter blades break and the failsafe activates
Roberestarkk 9 月 23 日 上午 4:02
Awesome, cheers!
That issue is now resolved, though I will report a couple others now that I know I'm not misunderstanding how to use it haha

@robertstarkk Thanks for that detailed report, you actually stumbled over quite the bug there. The issue is now fixed, so you should not have any more issues with the platform not going up. There was an issue with the altitude hold going lower over water then it should, triggering opposing failsafes that blocked the platform.

I've noticed if I enter recovery mode above water, it'll descend to near water level and deploy the rescue platform to go 'float' at water level... But no matter what I try, I can't get it to retract the rescue platform again properly.
Is there a special key combo I need to activate to tell it I'm really on there? I tried re-toggling '1' with the remote again, but nada.
How do I get back in again if it won't pull me up?
If I manually 'pull' myself in by jumping on the platform and grabbing one of the electric connectors it normally attaches to, and get to the cockpit and reset the mode, it'll close the hatch with the rescue platform outside and I can't get it to open up again to get the platform back.

Feels like I'm not using it right and breaking some kind of sequence... But what is the right sequence?
Jacohover  [作者] 9 月 18 日 上午 1:09
You mean the platform in the back? Just reel it back up as far as it goes, it will stop, close the hatch, and lock itself into the plane automatically. Just press the up button either on the platform or on the terminal in the plane, right next to the platform hatch.

In case you have lowered the platform through the emergency recovery function (via remote) you might need to disable the recovery mode in the cockpit first, should be a button close to the flashing light on the panel if its still on.

how do you get the recovery pod back in
NightLight52 9 月 1 日 下午 2:02
Oh for sure, I still plan to use it cause I really love this build. It is very awesome and extremely well made.

Yea, sadly thats just stormworks for you, and builds like mine that utilise large forces on subgrids are always at the mercy of janky physics, and I am definitely pushing limits on my build with subgrid count.
Still hope it wont keep you from enjoying the build though, as I put my heart and soul into my builds!
