Are you tired of watching your hardworking beavers struggle to swim at a snail's pace? Do you find it frustrating that these magnificent creatures, known for their agility in water - (see https://youtu.be/w4FB9Omjn94?t=290 ), are unrealistically slow in Timberborn? Look no further!

This mod gives beavers a +50% movement speed when swimming instead of the game's default penalty of -30%. You can configure the number in the mod's settings (Menu -> Mods -> Settings button next to the mod name). The mod's default value is 0.5 which means a 50% boost. If you want to see how it was in the game, put in -0.3.

Enjoy watching your beavers swim like they were born to do!

Note: please change the value only once per game. If you need to change it again, please restart the game to take effect.

Hi, I change the variable WalkerSpeedManager.SwimmingPenalty ( source [github.com]). Feel free to use, copy or add dependencies anyway you want :)

i'm the guy who made the whitepaws faction, i just wanted to ask if your mod is scripted or is it just abuse of the negative penalty system ?
would you mind if i made it a dependency ?

I recently added this note:
Note: please change the value only once per game. If you need to change it again, please restart the game to take effect.

i.e., at the main menu, set the value, then enter your game. If you need to change again, restart the game (the whole app, not just Reload a save)

Maybe that's the issue?

I just wish they seemed to more obviously go faster? Even putting the number up ludicrously high doesn't seem to do much lol

this makes os much sense... going through water should not only lighten the load, but also enable their awesome tails to help them move... will literally change the way i create my city and actually make this game more realistic to my beaver needs... appreciate the share buddy!
