Barren Universe

500% fewer habitable worlds

1. This mod makes it so the game generates 5 times fewer habitable worlds, replacing the rest with barren ones;
2. to prevent you from getting softlocked in a barren system, this mod allows barren planets to have moons;
3. to allow you to spawn properly, this mod weakens the restrictions on the starting system (it no longer has to contain a forest and a desert planet).

I personally find it more immersive when I don't see life bursting out of every hole in every rock in the galaxy. For greater immersion, I recommend combining this mod with `no atmosphere on barren worlds`. For maximum immersion, also add `slow FTL` and `FTL distance limit`.

The x5 number was chosen semi-arbitrarily. I initially tried doing x10, but the universe was way way too bareren. While that's even more immersive, it also made it unplayable: the navigation UI has no zoom feature and no search feature, so finding anything was bloody impossible. Let me know if you want an x10 version anyway

This mod should be compatible with mods that add new planet types within existing planet tiers. This mod is NOT compatible with anything that adds new planet tiers or new stars.

The only exception to that is FU: this mod is fully compatible with FU out of the box!

This mod is not compatible with TrueSpace, but there is a variation of TrueSpace with features from this mod: RealSpace.
