AI Passive Blood

描述
This mod provides AI nations with a passive blood income.

Said income is based off of the highest blood-path level in a province, and the size of the province.

Why you want this mod::

Without this mod, the AI nations rarely blood hunt, which means they can't cast blood magic spells. The AI will still research these spells, but they won't be able to use them. Not only does this mean the player won't experience this aspect of the game when playing against the AI, it also means that the AI is spending turns researching spells and rituals they cannot use.

With this mod, the AI nations will cast blood spells and rituals. If you want to see demons, devils, and other fiends in your enemy's armies, if you want the AI to follow a strategy template that requires blood rituals, or even if you just want the AI to be able to use all the spells they've researched, this mod is for you!

Limitations:

This mod does not simulate blood hunting for the AI. It does not increase the unrest in the triggering provinces, nor does it trigger the assassination battles typically associated with blood hunting. The triggering blood mage can do other things on their turn, such as researching, searching for sites, and moving to other provinces. The income provided is not necessarily equivalent to a human player ordering a blood mage to hunt in the same province.

The blood income provided by this mod does not scale due to the presence of multiple mages in a province. A province with a single blood mage will have the same income as a province with 20 blood mages.

Because of the above factors, the AI will typically have a higher blood income than a similarly situated human player in the early game, but a lower blood income than such a player in the late game.

Thanks for you offer, but I believe I've figured out how to reduce the amount of blood AI is getting by modifying certain numbers in your mod. It looks better now, AI gets extra blood "for free" and the amount is reasonable.

@Fellow Human Thank you for the feedback. At the moment, I'm not planning on making that adjustment--in part because I don't want to affect ongoing games, in part because it's the only time I've gotten that feedback, and I'd prefer to not affect everyone's game off of one data point. However, if you want to adjust it for your personal games, you can comment out or adjust the numbers on the events that give the most blood to the AI. If you need help doing so, I can walk you through the process.

In my opinion this mod needs to be tuned down quite a bit. It gives way too much free blood to AI.

For existing games that are having difficulties after the October 6th patch:

It is my understanding that having spaces in the filename can cause issues with running mods on the server (hence the mod error). As such, it is recommended that you use the new version for new games. For existing games, feel free to replace the _ with a space in the filename and the first line of the mod (that is #modname). You should also be able to revert to the July 4th version from the Change Notes tab for the same effect.
