Customize Character Override Hak Extended Edition (CCOH EE) v8.61

This is the override installation of the CCOH EE. For patch hak installation, full readme and further information go to

CCOH EE allows you to customize your character in-gamne:

Once installed the CCOH lets you:

Modify items:

- modify/dye armors (or parts of an armor) without being charged or making skill checks,
- modify/dye/hide cloaks,
- modify/dye/hide helmets,
- modify weapons,
- modify shields,
- rename items,
- edit description.

Modify characters:

- change portrait,
- change head,
- change phenotype,
- change body-parts,
- add/remove a tail,
- add/remove wings,
- shrink/enlarge

Plugins:

- ride a horse
- visual effects
- select deity
- Scabbard&Quiver
- Auto-Identify
- Cheat console (XP, Gold, item property editor, stores, ...)
- Craft trap (CCOH version)

Most features can be used with henchmen or any NPC too.

CCOH Extended Edition REQUIRES NWN EE build 8193.37 or better.


Before using the CCOH you should INCREASE THE INSTRUCTION LIMIT (Options -> Game Options -> Game -> Scripts -> Advanced -> Vm Runtime Limit Instructions -> move slider to its rightmost position).
This is not required (and not possible) on NWN EE build 8193.37.

To use the CCOH right-click your character and select the craft (trap) icon. If everything is installed properly you should see the CCOH dialog (see first screenshot).

CCOH works best with UI Scaling 1.0 and high density font enabled. It's designed to also work with UI scaling up to 2.0 and/or high density font disabled. See the readme for more informations about limitations, problems and how to make the CCOH to work with UI Scaling larger that 2.0.

The CCOH should work in multiplayer/PWs but is not tested in multiplayer/PWs. See readme for more informations.

CCOH should work with other workshop items that DO NOT OVERWRITE x0_skill_ctrap.dlg (the craft trap dialog). For workshop items that overwrite the craft trap dialog (e.g. Alternate Combat Animation Pack (ACP v4.0)) compatibility is not guaranteed. Depending on the order of subscribing it may or may not work. For me the following order seem to work: subscribe to CCOH EE first, then subscribe to ACP v4.0.

Modules that use their own phenotype.2da are not compatible with ACP (because the ACP combat styles are actually only phenotypes). Don't know if Aielund Saga has its own phenotype.2da but you can easily check that: use CCOH to change your chars phenotype [Modify Body->Phenotype] and check if the ACP phenotypes are on the list.

I've tried what you suggested. Apparently ACP works great with CCOH on any other module I've tried EXCEPT Aielund Saga where it's not showing at all

ACP is in the CCOH menu only if ACP is installed (CCOH does not contain ACP),
More precisely: CCOH checks phenotype.2da for one of the ACP phenotype entries. If it is there then the CCOH menu contains the ACP entry. Otherwise the ACP entry is not displayed.

Another question: I've noticed that the ACP mod is missing from the CCOH menu. Any idea how to fix it? (asked on the Discord channel, no one have answered yet)

Wow! I can actually hide helmets! And they stay hidden even after unsubscribing the mod. This is great. Thank you for this.

That's because some of the Aielung modules contain an old CCOH x0_skill_ctrap.dlg. This can be fixed either be opening the Aielund module file in the toolset, deleting contained x0_skill_ctrap dialog and saving module (requires restarting the module because editing the mod file does not affect saves) or by putting the CCOH EE version of x0_skill_ctrap.dlg into the NWN development folder (...\Documents\Neverwinter Nights\development).

Started today Aielund saga and turns out most of the functions are unavailable (the menu says: "CCOH 4.11, requires NWN 1.69". Don't know if that helps).
It works perfectly in newer modules like Doom Of Icewind Dale

If the hood is part of the head, it cannot be dyed directly. Instead it uses the colors of the equipped armor.

Anyone know how to change the color of the hood? It's a head option in character creation but for me it's showing up red and I'd to change the color. I'm using CCOH as well and am able to change virtually everything but can't seem to figure it out.
