Modifiers for Equippable Items

描述
Inspired by Terraria, here comes the RPG-like modifiers for your weapons, clothes, amulets and more

Update 7.0 is out, check the Update Log for more information!


Short Overview

Attributes are the type of buff your item gets, modifier determines how good or bad the buff is.

Each equippable item will get a random attribute with a random modifier upon being generated. These can be quite useful for you, but they can also be disadvantageous.
The amount of possible attributes can be set in the config options.

Anvil

If you want to change an attribute or modifier, you need to build an anvil. Place your item you want to change in it and choose the reforge option you want in the crafting slot on the left side. By clicking on the anvil symbol, you will change the slot that the attribute will be forged to and by clicking on the dice, you will see the modifier distribution for this forging process.
If you want to reforge a backpack, just lay down your backpack near the anvil and click the backpack button. This will put your backpack into the anvil so that you can reforge it.
The anvil can be found in the structures tab.
But pay attention, the modifier could also turn out worse than it was before!

Bars

If you want to have higher chances of getting higher modifiers, you can recycle gold, rainbow and glitch weapons at the anvil. Right-click them on the anvil to swap them for a corresponding bar which can be used to reforge with higher probabilities.

Attributes
At this time, there are 29 different attributes:



Durability,Range,Efficiency,Space and Magic can only be gotten by items where these attribute makes sense.
If you give an item an attribute it cannot have, for example you give a Football Helmet the attribute Efficiency, you will get a random different attribute.

Modifiers
The modifiers can be recognized based on their colour:



If you want to see how good or bad your item is, enable the description of the modifiers in the configuration and hold Left Alt and put your mouse over the item or just enable it to always be shown.

Numerous configuration options have been added to make the mod difficulty appealing to most people.

@wherethesunnoshine According to the wiki of Don't Starve (and my tests), these spiders can be caught with a trap:

what kind of trap? if you mean the basket trap, i have tried countless times, those kind of spiders don't get inside them. only way is to spawn them in your inventory

@wherethesunnoshine You can set the config option "Durability" to "Not replenished", this will keep the items durability after forging.

@wherethesunnoshine You can get the spiders into the inventory by using a trap and luring the spider into it. Then you can collect it into your inventory.
I have not added other recipes for it, if you want to change it yourself, you can do so in the mod folder in "\init\init_recipes.lua" on line 96. Choose the prefab and amount you want, but when an update of the mod happens, these values will be overwritten and you will need to change it again, so save the line somewhere so that you can easily overwrite it again.

Also can it keep its durability after forging? otherwise it can be abused to repair items

is there a way to change the recipe for luminite? it seems that you cant get the spiders in the inventory

@Monti, i have checked the mod configurations and you're right, i did disable some that i think are too overpowered for my server. I didn't disable the critial hit, but i have a mod that passively gives you a critical hit chance and does the same for mobs in the game. The ones i've disabled so far are: speed, glowinrange, waterproofiness and preservation.

@LRBARBOZA Did you disable some attributes like critical hit or something else?
It may be something that just happens for a specific set of configuration options, so that would be interesting to know.
I don't think another mod would cause this but you never know :D
I will publish soon an update where I add this failsafe.

@Monti, some of those mods are not updated anymore, but they do work and i've used them for a long time without any issues. Your mod is kinda like the RPG items mod, which is not mantained anymore, so i've tried using it. That's the only problem i've faced so far, your coding might be impecable, thus i'd like to advertise it in my livestreamings too, if you wouldn't mind. That's some way to show my appreciation towards your work.

@Monti My server is intended to be highly difficult, it is challenging even for veteran players, so it uses the Teleportato, More Armor, Random Critical Hits, Repair Everything, Simple Economy, Uncompromising Mode, Fast Travel, Forge Items, Checkmate Arsenal, Cleaner - Self Configurable, Adventure Mode, Bigfoot Returns, Show Me (Origin) and your mod (Modifiers for Equippable Items).
