Improved Husks Lite

The Improved Husks Lite mod is a tamer, more vanilla-friendly version of "Improved Husks".

A year after the original mod's release, I've decided to release a version of the mod showcasing my original scope when I started making the mod. You can see what I wanted to do in this thread.

As I had a bit of a hard time implementing the first thing mentioned in that thread (non-rusted diving suit husks), I started adding other things to keep myself occupied... Which lead to the original mod becoming what it is today.


The changes included in this mod are:

- Abyss, Combat, PUCS and Slipsuit diving suit husk variants.

- More lethal husk infection. It progresses faster and will kill the host a lot more quickly when its progress reaches 100%.

- Updated human husks. They have custom sounds and have more noticeable stingers.

- "Recent" husks. They will spawn if a human husk is wearing any of the five diving suits.

- Recent husks can become rusted husks if left alone for a long time in the water.

- The husk stinger available to infected humans can no longer be used if the user's face is hidden.


Compatibility

This mod overrides the following vanilla content:

- Husk Infection originally found in "Content\Afflictions.xml"

- Human Husk character originally found in "Content\Characters\Humanhusk\Humanhusk.xml"

- Husk character originally found in "Content\Characters\Husk\Husk.xml"

- Husk Stinger Weapon originally found in "Content\Items\CreatureLoot\creatureloot.xml"


The more things a mod overrides, the harder it is for it to be compatible with other mods in general.

I see, I actually already made the infection slow down a bit after reaching the point where you gain a stinger, so I'll see about slowing it down a bit more next update, but it will probably still be a bit faster than the unmodded husk infection.
