The Trident Class Command Cruiser, until recently, was considered an old relic of the secession war, being a 15 year old design, but advances in federal shipbuilding capability have allowed the Federal Navy to upgrade the class to the formidable command cruiser it is today.

The class started its service history as a heavy cruiser class for the newly formed New Caledonian Federal Navy, designed for one purpose, to win the war.

In the modern day, the class has been re-classed as a command cruiser, while sticking to its main purpose. Designed to hang back and hammer enemy vessels at long range, the class, while suffering from its age, is still to be considered a formidable threat, not to be taken lightly.

Hello! and welcome to the page for the NCF Trident command cruiser! This ship has been in development for around four years at this point by myself and the co-creator, DestroyMEInstead. The ship is fully capable of working in survival although is incapable of landing in any meaningful gravity well due to its heavy armor design and minimal thrusters. The only mod that is absolutely necessary to the design is the extended armor and ramps mod, as it forms the front of the ships hull.

The ship comes equipped with a PDC grid for firing on any incoming ordnance, as well as it's own missile and torpedo launchers, numbering 12 and 4 respectively. It also has 2 Main Batteries on top of the ship, as well as many secondary ship-to-ship guns around the hull. Lastly, it is equipped with a fixed Rail Gun on its ventral bow, with a camera above it for ease of aiming.

The ship is also equipped with particularly strong defence shields, with a strength of 31 million HP, although if the shields were to drop, the all heavy armour design should allow you to hang in a firefight for a while.

This ship has had the effort and love of a small team of people poured into it for the last couple of years to get it finished and up on the workshop for others to enjoy, and we hope you do! Good Hunting!
