SONIC 3-Wheel Tilt Car

SONIC is a three-wheel tilting racecar costing just $9991, including 100km of fuel. SONIC is designed for track racing and has been tested on the STATUS ring, where it achieves a hot lap time of 59 seconds flat. It's also quite capable on regular roads and off-road.



SONIC is powered by a "turbocharged" small diesel engine, driving all three wheels. In track mode, SONIC has a 100km range -- 28 laps of the STATUS ring. Sophisticated active aero and dynamic tilting lets SONIC nail every apex without spilling your coffee (well, not too much).

SONIC is capable of a top speed over 200kph in track mode, although its not recommended to use this for every-day driving.

There are two steering axes, a/d for sensitive steering and nailing some hairpins, and left/right arrows for a more gentle touch (e.g. for small adjustments at high speed).

All microcontrollers and features designed and built by myself.

Driving Tips:

• Don't brake
  
• Hold on tight
  
• Reduce the steering sensitivity on the seat if you find it ridiculous
