Remote Station Upsilon

Remote Station Upsilon is a partially-restored military outpost from the Upsilon Sector in the Delta Quadrant. According to historical records, this forward-operating base was situated as a deterrent against pirate operations that were threating nearby shipping lanes, but was long-ago abandoned when the criminal elements were either captured or destroyed. Heavily armored and armed, equipped with four drone bays, and containing sufficient infrastructure for operating independently for a very long period of time, this station can withstand assaults with aplomb while efficiently launching counterstrikes against an opposing force.

Remote Station Upsilon serves as a very advanced starter base with advanced living and life-support features for eight crew, including fully equipped quarters and cryo chambers for each. Remote Station Upsilon includes rudimentary flight capability for repositioning, but responds slowly due to its immense mass. Necessary for sustained operations in remote regions, this station also includes four advanced refineries with yield modules, two advanced assemblers with speed modules, four batteries and four small nuclear reactors for power, a medical room, four O2/H2 generators, three oxygen tanks, three large hydrogen tanks, and hydrogen thruster propulsion. Also included is a programmable block containing MMaster's Automatic LCDs 2 script and a programmable block containing Isy's Simple Doors to semi-automate airlock operations. Four automated docking bays are included for drone and/or manned-ship operations; drones/ships may be remotely-controlled from the four control stations, each with a dedicated laser antenna, at the top of the station.

Defensive armament includes 16 gatling turrets and 4 missile turrets.

Author's Note: This station started out much smaller, as most of my other remote stations present, but its size grew when I realized that the PCUs would far exceed any of my remote stations to-date if the station was to have a plausible beginning (i.e., as a military installation). I decided to cast simplicity aside and build a rather formidable semi-mobile station that would survive in many situations against opposing forces. At one point I debated damaging the station in numerous locations thereby requiring substantial repair to bring it up to full operating status, but later abandoned that idea when I realized the heavy armor and many functional blocks would require far too much effort and cost. It is, therefore, what it is.
