RNLI - Talus MB-H Amphibious Tractor

THIS VARIANT DOES NOT COME WITH THE MERSEY, SEE REQUIRED ITEMS

The Talus MB-H was a launch tractor specifically designed for the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) to launch and recover lifeboats from beach-launched lifeboat stations. It was mainly designed to be compatible with the Mersey Class Lifeboat and similar to the Mersey Class is being discontinued in favour of the Shannon Class lifeboat which uses a different launch and recovery system. The Talus MB-H also had the capability to almost fully submerge itself underwater during lifeboat launches if necessary, with an air-tight compartment for both the engine and the driver.

To start up:
- Press "Engine Starter".
- Increase throttle.
- Use W and S to move around.

To deploy the Mersey Class Lifeboat:

- Slowly reverse the trailer into the water (works best on a beach).
- Press "Brakes".
- Press "Magnets Up/Down" and then press "Magnet On/Off" to lock the trailer to the beach.
- Extend the winch so the Mersey slides into the water.
- Press "Connectors On/Off" to detach the Mersey.
- Jump into the Mersey and switch on the engines and drive away .

To recover the Mersey Class Lifeboat:

- Make sure a large portion of the trailer is submerged below the water line like a ramp.
- Very slowly reverse the Mersey so its keel lines up with the trailer.
- If done correctly, the Mersey shall connect onto the trailer and slowly go up.
- Do not turn off the engine at this point, get out, go to the tractor, and turn on the connectors, attach them to the boat.
- Go back to the Mersey, turn off the engines to prevent them overheating out of water.
- Go to the tractor, turn off magnets and retract them. Drive away, happy days.

(It is best done with TWO players, one in the tractor, one in the lifeboat)
