Atlas MK III

Named this one Atlas... for Obvious reason. This is a compact heavy lifter. Can easily airlift the Poseidon. In fact In early developement I almost lifted the stock cargo ship. This version is 20% stronger it might be able to do it. However I have to warn agaist it as it tend to crash the game. I still have to tweak some value, when heavily loaded pitch is shaky a bit.


Some spec:

Unloaded Speed: 40m/s with rotor set to foward.
Loaded Speed: 50m/s with 22 500 Units.
Max Lift: +-43 000 Units (game start having problem at that point)
Passager: 5 plus Pilot.

Few note and instruction:
AutoAltitude is always on, because the power to mass ratio make it uncontrolable in manual.
Up and down control altitude, but not engine power. This is simply because it require less than 5% of its power to fly. Engine power is on a separate leveler and hotkey. You should not use it unless you are lifting something heavy. Anyway pass 50% it won't make you go faster and will make the atlas unstable. The foward propeler pitch foward to cruise, transition is soft and not dangerous. However be carful when using it while lifting, more than 45deg might ground you!

How to lift:

Connect magnet to Cargo. Press Up to Pull autoAltitude target above its actual altitude. Once the cable are fully extended, slowly increase the power of the engine until your cargo lift, then add a little bit more for security. Now you can pitch foward or use the rotor pitch to advance it's up to you, but do it slowly and carefully. Thats it! now you can reach 50m/s!
