描述

Update pending. (Yes, this is the text change I opted for to test my ability to perform updates.)
Has your server for some inexplicable reason made it impossible to forage? Then this is the mod for you.

I lost the ability to forage anywhere on the map and couldn't do a soft reset. I didn't want to start over because my base and it's contents are fantastic, so we made this mod.

What this mod does:
-Re-enables a previously lost Forage ability by calling existing game functions.
-Allows you to forage on any natural terrain .
-Makes the game think you are always foraging in the Deep Forest, which means increased yields from Foraging.

What this mod does not do:
-Change the original Foraging option. If you enable this in a normally functioning game, you will have 2 options. Everything mentioned about this mod only affects the 2nd Forage option if you have two.
-Show you how much left is forage-able. (It seems to be infinite, but I haven't done it 1000 times in the same spot yet)
-Change the seasonal-based abundance levels. For example, you will still find no food or medicinal herbs from November-February. Food will still be scarce in March and April.

Notes:
-Compatible with Hydrocraft, Esam's Awesome Zomboid Life (Coming soon), Project Zomboid Garbage Disposal Mod
-It is currently unknown how this mod might interact with unbroken games, where the original Forage option is still available. It SHOULD work just fine. If you find any issues, please let us know!

I'd love to see this mod return in any form, honestly. No amount of time spent with the modern foraging system is going to make me like it, and I've given it a good long try. Even CDDA, a game increasingly designed to be tedious, doesn't make you go through this much tedium to search the bushes for a rock.

would be nice to the old school foraging system with less time spent doing it , fast but not OP fast thx for your time and effort

Hey folks, unfortunately, the base game code that originally supported this mod is gone, so re-implementing it as it used to work would be a feat bigger than I am able to commit to. If I can track down the old source code I might be able to rig something up.

Otherwise, I might be able to rig something else up that would just let you forage for everything everywhere all the time. What are people's thoughts?

Knowing what I know now, I can't make any guarantees. But what would people specifically like to see out of this mod? I'd like to make it useful again.

@Byro this mod was made before they changed how foraging worked, so it doesn't work now,

Hopefully this will come back somehow so we can choose to use the old system if we wanted to,

because there's some things the old version had that I prefer over the current foraging system.
