Sound + Chassis Fix for Aradeth's Volvo VNL 670 (Closed)

There is a bug on the interior turbo sounds from CAT, ISX and Cummins N14 engines when you switch from exterior camera to interior camera.

This bug is not easy to find out if you are not using those engines.

I believe this bug is caused by SCS's game engine Prism3D; the engine could not handle the turbo sounds perfectly. I'm not sure if Aradeth knew about it or not, but anyway the bug doen't really affect your driving VNL 670 on the road.

If you think the bug is annoying, this fixer helps!

If you don't see any difference, check the attached before-vs-after video.

+Chassis part+

It now helps fix a chassis bug. Same it's a small bug.

You may notice that the 8X4 chassis has 3 powered axles, which makes the chassis actually an 8X6 chassis.

Now the chassis has a correct number of powered axles - it's 2.

Of cause you may not feel any difference, and you may not care about how many powered axles a chassis has. But let's make it better.

Now it also fix the steerable axles.



I love the VNL 670 made by Aradeth. It's not easy to make such a high quality mod so I think it's normal to find small bugs in such a big project (impossible to check everything).

I really appreciate Aradeth's work and I'm willing to help improve it.

How to use:
  1. Subscribe and wait till download finished.
  2. Go to the Mod Manager in the game, activate the mod and set it to a higher position than the VNL 670.
  3. Visit service station, change your truck engine to another model other than CAT, ISX or N14. Example: Volvo D13 or Volvo D16 engine. And make sure you click "Confirm" and pay.
  4. Change back to your original engine.
  5. If still it doesn't work, exit and restart the game.

It may not work with other mods.

It's only for the SCS trucks not the VNL, but it certainly helps the realism factor when pulling doubles.

@CCFAN no worries mate. i simply with the mod author would do it...90% of doubles in the USA are pulled by sing drive axle trucks. the volvo is quite popular in that market segment too.

can you make a 4x2 chassis for this truck ? i have looked at every chassis mod i can find on the web and not a single truck with a sleeper has the option(flb by harven aside). i wish i knew how..seems like it would be as simple as eliminating the front driver axle...then adding a single fender option or two. just food for thought

I'm sorry I think it works on VNL 670 only.

If you have your engine sound missing, I suggest to change your truck engine to another model (it's better to use the engines made by SCS) and see if the engine sound is back.

Could this be the same that happened to my KW 900 Aero Sleeper I'm running in the Freight Market since the 1.28 updat? No sound at all inside the cab of the 900 running, but you can hear everything else that's making sound. No engine, horns, jake brake, or any kind of crash.

This happens with my T800 too. Maybe this will work for my truck too? We shall see. :D
