As Artyom, a young man from Exhibition station, you will explore the Moscow metro system in a dark and oppressive atmosphere.
In 2013, a nuclear war erupted and in turn sent mankind back a couple of years. Now 20 years after WW3, a new threat appears close to Artyom's home station and he is forced to take action.

Artyom's role model, Hunter, a ranger of the Order visits Artyom's step-father. After catching up, mutants suddenly breach through. Hunter tells Artyom that he will travel out in the tunnels and try to fix this, and if he didn't return until the next day Artyom would have to travel to Polis and deliver a message to his commanding officer.

He was never seen again.
