People are too harsh on this game. I feel like the "safe" choices are excusable considering this was their first game in a newly acquired IP. Tonally and thematically closer to Fallout 1 than any of the other games in the franchise. I would play it through TTW rather than this launcher though.

Game crashes on launch without the addition of community made mods. Dont think a game should be able to be sold on steam in this state considering the base product is broken and requires mods to make it work. And im not even talking about the usual mods to fix glitches that you need to install for other fallout titles, I mean the game crashes on launch and wont even get to the title screen without mods. Classic bethesda, release a pile of broken garbage and let the community mod it into a working enjoyable experience. Seriously imagine you go buy an older car from a dealership and then you get in the car and they tell you "Oh sorry the car doesnt work you need to buy a bunch of parts and fix it yourself to get it running again." Im not buying a car from the junkyard im buying a product online with the expectation ill be able to use the product. Any positive comments I have for this game go towarts the modding community and not Bethesda since theyre the reason im able to play this game

One of the best action RPGs of all time. An amazing hand-crafted open-world with tons to explore and engaging writing.
