I can't recommend this game currently. Performance is shoddy, it crashes quite often which is apparently more common on the GPU series it came included with. For some reason any progress including map exploration and story stuff is not shared between the host and those playing along, so you have to play from the last arbitrary point the game decided you were at personally.

On top of all of this, you can have 40 ping being in the same house as the other person hosting.

I'd like to see all of these things fixed before I'd suggest it. Because otherwise, it's a serviceable looter shooter that has given me a good share of chuckles. It's very fun with friends as well.

It's an undeniable classic that constantly withstands the test of time.

Fantastic arcade bowling with an aesthetic only Modus has truly mastered.

Visuals are spot on, sound design is perfect, and the soundtrack is sublime. I've been really enjoying learning all the little bits of movement tech and physics goofs that allow much more broad approaches to all the different stages. Seriously pick this one up if you love oldschool completionist arcade games.

A fantastic love letter to Half-Life. Improves a lot of sections and builds on the classic gunplay incredibly well. It's not a replacement for the original, but a more accessible and finely tuned experience. The new sections are incredibly fun.

I feel like replaying this game constantly.

Very solid gameplay loop with a good amount of build-crafting to keep you invested for a good while. Visuals are gritty and solid. Soundtrack is easily one of my favorite parts of the game.

Pick it up to play with friends, and the matchmaking isn't too bad either.

A fun tactical shooter MMO focused on stat based builds and fancy tech. Honestly worth picking up if you like the idea of a much more grounded Destiny-like experience.

Love the world, love the mechanics, and love the gameplay.

One of my favorite games of all time.

Gunplay is solid, it's fast paced, the story is sublime, and the visuals are an ultimate nostalgia trip. So much of this game is unbelievably liminal that it was a huge delight playing through it again for that detail alone.

Playing this in 2025 after years of Sam Lake forming a cohesive and interesting universe, it's insane to see some of those concepts started here. High recommendations for folks looking to see that sorta thing.

Not as solid as Max Payne 1 & 3 but still a good game regardless. Take a lot of tinkering to get working just right but I will always recommend these games to someone looking for a solid challenge and great story.

You can be the freak you've always wanted to be. Combat is visceral and satisfying. A great compliment to one of the greatest series online.

Walking sim with spurts of combat in between. I've actually fallen asleep playing this game and can't be compelled to finish it after starting it up over and over again.
