Only purchase now if you want to support Keen Software House because I don't expect you will spend much time in game in these early alphas.

With that out of the way I am currently optimistic with the direction of the games development currently. Keen iterates over time to produce a game that has thought through mechanics and endless replay-ability. With that said, the game as of VS1, is not that, and quite far from it.

I do slightly wonder why Keen would release this early of a build to alpha, I understand it is to test with the public, however I find it hard to find enough to do to properly test the game engine or it's features. The limited selection of blocks to build with makes it hard to spend any amount of time building anything since you don't have many of the basic blocks found in SE1. In turn it feels like you really shouldn't spend time working on future builds or blueprints since you know you will have to change them to accommodate new blocks and game mechanics. On the other side of the coin the game play features are not fleshed out yet either, so I'm left wondering what it is we are expected to do with this alpha.

SE2 will be a great game, better than SE1 is what I believe. The day on which that statement is true just seems quite far away.

You know what guys, I love this game.
But I would NOT recommend it at the current time of writing this.
I would wait until the fix all of the random crash that happen every ten minutes.
