Seems that the up axis is wrong for some of those bones. Can you send me the DMX file please?

This will be fixed in the next release.

Run the "Add Custom Split Normals Data" operator then edit the mesh's loop normals. That's the proper way of doing it and those normal data will be stored permanently in the blend, never to be recalculated.

I'm pretty sure they will survive export to SMD too, but triangulation may indeed be an issue. The custom normals system just doesn't support topological changes. :(

By "mods" you mean modifiers? That should have been fixed in the last release.

Material names are printed to the console during export (Window > Toggle System Console) and also appear in HLMV under the Model tab. I could certainly add a list of names to the UI though. I'll look into it.

I fixed the model that Taco sent me, but xDShot's is showing the same problems.

Actually this was my fault. It's fixed in 2.6!

Finally had the time to look at this and it appears to be a Blender bug: the reported rotation of the bone during export is the same every frame. I'll see if I can fix it, otherwise I'll file a bug with the Blender team.
